Hang in there!
Yes like Bill Nye the science guy and Michio Kaku.News channels actually invite real experts and not some bigmouthed JREFers.
I live in Kanagawa. NHK says it was 6+ in Eastern Shizuoka.
nice strawmen.
it is about is the vessel seriously damaged or not?
all the news i heard, made it clear, they rely on other news reports. as noone is able to take a look, only those operating the plant..........
they only speculation about it is actually here on JREF where some say, its nothing........
you guys are amuzing if the situation was not so sad (earthquake and zunami)
Yeah that is also fear mongering too. I mean the explosions if you actually use your brain like some people apparently are incapable of are unavoidable and to be expected. The alternative being if the reactors didn't explode well a Cherenobyl event. But jsut yesterday the german tv was comparing this catastrophe with chernobyl and saying it would e as bad, and showing a cartoon of the fukushima reactor EXPLODING.
they guy you called a cry wolf without you ever having heard of him before, yeah that was very funny and telling. expected more from you
The point is MOOT whether the vessel is serriously damaged or not. The point which is important and has been scaremongered by the madia is : what are the consequence and what is likely to happen. Chernobyl 2 is not likely to happen. 400 milli sievert is way below what ever was at chernobyl, which when the rod fhad a flash reaction was 300 Sievert. What is likely to happen at that point is a pile of slag, some radiation escape, and nothing as bad as chernobyl. But jsut yesterday the german tv was comparing this catastrophe with chernobyl and saying it would e as bad, and showing a cartoon of the fukushima reactor EXPLODING.
Get it now ? This is scaremongering and not funny.
And don't get me started on the number of death by Coal/oil/gas generation plant (from extraction to stuff released in the atmosphere) compared to nuclear power generation.
The fact stays that Fukushima while being a bit worrying is NOT the big catastrophe as the media push it.
As for being a truther, oh please. Truther are saying the official story is wrong and some crazy governement wanted to explode them. I am only saying media got a juicy story and don't release their jaw from it. I fully agree with the official governement story , and the picture it paints. What I disagree is the picture MEDIA paint out of it.
If you call that being a truther, then you have lost your mind and dwelve in ad hominem.
As for the consequence , I may only have studied nuke plant 15 tech years ago for my master in physic, and never did a job out of it, so that make me more lay than expert, but certainly more knowledgeable than the stuff I read in the media and their exploding nuke reactors.
Showing 6 plus in Shizuoka (Eastern). Saw the news studio shaking
Actually, the explosions are a good thing and if you think otherwise then you are an idiot who has succumbed to paranoid news reporting.here they show the real thing blowing up.....
but no fearmongering here. But maybe they are just not downplaying things like some JREFs love to do.

They aren't going to render the reactors safe without having the explosions occur. The news reports at one point said that the reactor that was the worst off was the one that actually hadn't exploded (Reactor 2) because surprise surprise the lack of explosion was associated with it not being able to vent the gasses. Not being able to vent the gasses means that the pressure will rise. If the pressure rises to much the entire containment vessel will blow like a pressure cooker without a safety valve installed.I am not sure what you meant with that.

I'm in -unshaken- Hiroshima. Are you in Japan too, Bluespaceoddity?
Christian and me live in germany and heard of him. And you ? Where do you lvie and how did you hear of him PREVIOUSLY of this week ? If you live in germany , then you know perfectly well that what Christian said is true and can be cross checked. If you live outside germany, then you have NO call to take some guy name at random and say it agreed with you.
change the newsoutlet then......
here they dont show cartoons , here they show the real thing blowing up.....
but no fearmongering here. But maybe they are just not downplaying things like some JREFs love to do.
and yes, the Main streammedia tells lies is very trutherlike.
but i see, when you claim it its something else......![]()
A fake text message warning people that radiation from the Fukushima nuclear plant has leaked beyond Japan has been panicking people across Asia.
The SMS message, purporting to come from the BBC, has been circulating around Asian countries since Monday.
It warns people to take necessary precautions against possible effects of radiation.
The BBC has issued no such flash but the hoax has caused particular panic in the Philippines.
They ar not telling lies as much as not bothering with research.
Please tell me when science in the media is accurately represented ? Never heard explanation simkplified or badly researchwed as to be made oturight wrong ?
Lucky you.
Don't get me started on my specialisation QM, if I ever heard another "observer" effect mass media presentation, my head will explode louder than the fukushima reactor.
