Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

As I have said before, that should send up a red flag -- but I know it will continue.
They do send up a red flag. Just not the one you think.

Yes it would be hard.
Why would the difference between 2 and 5 be any different from 1 and 2?

And the one and two angel alleged discrepancy has already been logically explained in this thread.
No, it hasn't. And considering you have admitted to not spending a lot of time thinking about it sends up a red flag regarding your assessment.

several thousands of posts since i was here last.
nothing new, i see....
So then you already knew that if all the 5000 or so NT manuscripts were destroyed we would still have access to almost all of the NT verses by just using the writings of 2nd and 3rd century writers who quoted the NT verses in their writings.thus seriously hurting Bart Ehrman's "copies of copies of copies" over centuries argument.

This one?

Which reminds me . . .

Liar.
See the following posts for a complete analysis of your claim.

Everyone in the US should be able to access that link.
It's not coming up for me. Further, not everyone on this thread is in the US.
So, it really does raise a question: Why are you being so coy with the information? Seems rather strange that you (who so often demand direct quotes from sources and not just provide links) is providing a link that you KNOW to be inaccessible to a large number of forum members.

What's the word for a person who says one thing, but does another?

I can't access it. I wonder why you are so reluctant to make the argument here...

Everyone in the US should be able to access that link.

Bully for them.

Are you hoping the rest of us will just wander off and forget about the whole thing?

In your dreams, DOC. And don't bother posting that stupid bloody Amazon link again either. It makes Wilbur cry.

Joobz has pointed out the obvious lie in this post but that was before you added your link, so I'll just comment on that bit of your post.

Here's a little extract:

Jesus Authenticates N.T. Writings

OK...But, what about the New Testament?

Well, we know that Jesus Himself authenticates the writing of the New Testament in several places although this is not a comprehensive list.

Well, well, well. What a bloody surprise, eh?

Some conspiracy theorists two thousand years from now who only have access to today's news accounts (but with no pictures or video footage of the tsunami) might claim there was never a Tsunami because there are so many conflicting accounts of the problems with the nuclear reactors.

And also conflicting accounts on how many actual plants were damaged.

Actually. No, skeptics won't conclude that.
They will look at the general consensus of information that is available and decide what the most rational conclusion is.

Remember. earthquakes and meltdowns are things that happen in the real world.

Godmen coming back to life has only happened in fantasy stories.

Todays news accounts ARE in the form of pictures and video footage, DOC.

What sceptics in two thousand years from now will claim is that today's television journalists are a bunch of wankers.

And they'll be spot-on.

ETA: (Since DOC still insists on editing posts that have already been reponded to)

Several accounts are different.

That then will be a question for future forumites to sort out.

We in the here and now, however, are waiting for YOUR explanations of New Testament discrepancies, although I doubt that any of us are in the least bit surprised that you don't have any.

Isn't it strange how, with improved journalistic recording and documenting of events, the number of miracles has dwindled to zero??

But you both agree, don't you, that even in our modern era with all our technology there are still a great deal of conflicting stories about nuclear plants coming from our media.

Is 1 plant damaged or 2 -- or more?
