My favorite part is that the bad child, Cain, is described as having "a mind of his own." Yeah, Chick, that's a bad thing.


Also, Chick describes Cain's offering of the fruits of the ground as an act of rebellion even though the KJV never states or even alludes to rebellion as the motivation. Just making **** up again.

I believe that despite yourself you enjoy reading these tracts and making negative comments about them. These tracts defy everything rational yet in their own way they show intelligent albeit a warped mind. Jack Chick may be crazy but he isn't stupid.
 
Have you people ever seen the adult comic "Housewives at play" the art style and even the faces on some Chick tracks are identical.

I am disgusted by most of them and laugh at a few. I think the world would be a better place if they stopped making and distributing them (although I would NOT start a bonfire so that I could burn them). I mock and criticize them to deal with the negative emotions they stir in me - and because anything so bereft of logic deserves criticism. I am saddened that there are people so uneducated, so ignorant, so simple-minded that they think that these tracks are helpful and insightful.


Do I enjoy them? No.

No. Chick is a johnny-one-note who tells the same story one hundred slightly different ways. No intelligence is needed at all. A six-year-old child with a computer program for drawing cartoon characters could do everything that Jack Chick does.

I am pretty sure the belief that telling your child stories about Santa and the Easter Bunny will cause him to become so amoral that he will murder people before adolescence is stupid.

He does have a point with that one. Lying to kids about other supernatural things HAS been known to undermine the kids' faith in religion when they find out. His error is not in that, but in the idea that losing religion leads to turning evil.

I thought you asked me to warn you about these tracts so that you could avoid them? So here they are plainly displayed for what they are and you nevertheless read them and get mad because they are stupid. Ok so why are we even having this exchange if these absurd tracts are so annoying to you?

Yes, .....and that a normal sane child would immediately turn into a murderous savage upon finding out that Santa & the Tooth Fairy aren't real.

My bad. I didn't want the labels so I could avoid them. I wanted the labels A) because I like things clearly labeled and believe the forum functions more efficiently and B) because other people who want to avoid them should have the right to know what is in the thread.

On the otherhand, I think "Chickrolled" is such a cool word that the matter had not been settled by moderator fiat, I would have withdrawn my complaints.
