Hello from a non-skeptic

I do believe its' Senice's Book.

Dont' thank me.

Chapter one is how Senex looked the part and had everything lined up yet bungled it all when he had adantages. He did get educated.

Chapter two is how Senex continued his bungling.

The third chapter is how Senex came to be how he is today. It isn't pretty but parts were out of his control.

The book has been dispatched, at about the same time as C'h'a'r'l'e's' credibility was by Alice.

Big Les, I'm sure I speak for the rest of the Debunkly Skerrits Pack when I say that I'm positively quivering with anticipation of reading your review.

Oh, Charles - what have you brought on yourself? :D

I suspect Boden's Codex will be more like a past'iche.

Damn you, Emet! You have reapostrophized's my unapostrophication's!

THE BODEN CODEX

By the way, looking forward to the report Big Les... Can you take a pic of the cover when it comes in and post it? I think I want to share the reading experience with you as much as possible.

Sometimes I might post something like, "Oh, that's so good. SLOWER, quote it slllloooowerrr..."

Just ignore it and power's through it.

U'r 2 kin'd.

And I've just noticed another funny little detail in the WP article history. On the 26th of January 2010 the owner of another Rio de Janeiro IP number, 189.25.19.152, altered "6th of Appin" to "5th of Appin". This is the current version of the article.

Home and work computers?

Was the earlier version a bit too accurate to be credible? After all, we know that mistakes have been known to creep into family trees.

The thick plottens! :eye-poppi

I'm pleased. We might need our own cliquey custom user titles at this rate, corn-dogs/gods style.

Even I'm not sure yet, but I did manage 1000 words just on his 8-page preview!

Maybe you can make us all buy your review on Amazon? It may be the first time a review is bigger and sells more than the book. :p

Big Les, you are a hero. It's becoming obvious that we'll need a LOT of popcorn, and possibly a fair amount of whisky, to fully appreciate your magnum opus. I'll send a footman down to the off-licence forthwith.

And Ririon, your proclamation of love is noted and appreciated. Play your cards right and you may be in the running for the Order of the Golden Skerrit*, the highest honour Jreffia can bestow upon a commoner.

Nor in Australia, but the elusive "skerrick" is.:)

I'm mighty fond of my original Corn God avatar, but I'd like to suggest a custom title:

Reader's of the Boden Codex

Honestly, after having read only a short excerpt of Charles' novel, which is prefaced by a long apologia and shows no signs of getting to the point by the third page, I'm thinking that we should gather a collection to fund Big Les's retirement, as it will take him the better part of his natural life to ponder what Charles is nattering on about.

He could always finish it in his next life.

Actually, a variation of that would be quite compelling.

If the Bonnie Prince had penned his memoirs after Culloden stating he would come back as Charles John Stewart Boden of Brazil in the early 21st century using IP Address numberty-nine, and if said memoirs were repeatedly and independently authenticated, I would be inclined to believe our own Charlie B.

Well, we do, but this is interesting. I've learned a lot about what people who believe in reincarnation think, I've learned some history of royal families, I've learned something about cold readings and the ideomotor effect. (I was never very interested in paranormal... stuff.) And I've been entertained by some witty and pithy postings.

So for me, aside from entertainment value, the E in JREF has once again been present.

And I've gotten some tips into doing genealogical research about my own family.

However, Burke's Peerage will not be much help to me. Is there a Burke's Peasantry?

As I read that preview I could feel the heavy prose descend on my mind and everything got darker and darker, I could barely keep my eyes open and boredom was crushing my soul.

If you don't report in regularly we will send the JREF ninjas to the rescue.

Does that involve nudity and/or barn animals?
