I've already got it on ignore, I'm sure the calibre of posting isn't likely to improve greatly, may as well nip it in the bud.

This must be what you consider "critical thinking" right? Because Jews were involved in the report it must be dismissed right? Isn't that just so convenient? We can then just completely dismiss all the evidence on the grounds that it was presented by the Jewish side. No need to think at all!

No, I consider it an example of paraphrasing someone else to highlight how stupid their argument is, go back and look at the context.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with all the rest of the posts. OR point out who is calling them critical thinking. Just because some bigot posts anti-Islam slander doesn't mean they are being seen as critical thinking. They're just trolling.

I dunno if you've noticed, but we're on a discussion forum dedicated to critical thinking and scepticism and - in the same way that it tends to attract Jesus-freaks, holocaust deniers and 9/11 twoofers like flies to a carcass - it also attracts the occasional bigot who thinks that being sceptical about religion and having a raging case of visceral Islamophobia are the same thing. As our illustrious friend and colleague bigjelmapro would say; capiche?

Ah so now it's not just Islamic bigots, it's suddenly all facets. Funny how you don't seem to work both ways. When you have posts by people by Jane, Armstrong, and many others here who make pretty much the same kind of posts as dan does, you don't seem to raise this point.

While I don't agree with his posts, it's amusing to see someone using the same argument methods as many of the anti-Israeli arguers on here. And it's funny to see so many of them so offended by his ignorance yet not have a problem with their own arguments which are on the exact same level as his.

I think it's pretty clear what you were actually trying to imply.

I'm quoting this wholesale from "The Times" newspaper of recent times.

Papers could easily have been lost during the chaos, I doubt the IDF would have been letting prisoners go back to their cabins to get them. Also, its not uncommon for authorities to deny that they ever found papers just to make life hard. A friend of mine got arrested on drug charges, in his house the police found passports and tickets to Amsterdam. When he got brought before a bail arraignment he was denied bail because the police presented the airline tickets to the magistrate and claimed they hadn't found the passports. Law enforcement types pull that sort of crap all the time.
