The only gossip I have, is that they hadn't even started looking for a venue when TAM8 was finished. If that's true, there might not even be a TAM9 in July next year. You can't expect Vegas hotels to just accomodate an event for 1500 people on your preferred date if it's not booked at least a year in advance. Heck, I've known of camp sites for events of about 100 people sometimes needing to be booked more than a year in advance if you wanted a specific weekend.

We'll see how this pans out ...

A part of me hopes it's not the usual weekend, because I'm halfway thinking about attending the British Open (or as the British snobs call it, "The Open Championship"), and that would be a bit of a conflict, as I would pretty much have to leave straight from TAM.

From what I have heard, there's a chance it could move back up to the strip. They're working on getting the prices down, and given how desperate Vegas is right now, they might have a chance.
