Merged Israel Attacks Palestinian Aid Flotilla, According To Reports

Yup. All whitey's on board. Just like how they didn't assault whitey's in the way they assaulted Arabs/Turks on the other ship. Again highlighting Israels inherent racism.

You cannot be serious. So this isn't about knives and bats but about race? Additionally, Israel is a more diverse ethnically and religiously place than you may think.

But, hey, why would Israel ever NEGOTIATE with anyone that looked Arabic or Turkish

You mean, except for their peace treaty with Egypt, peace treaty with Jordan, historically close relationships with Turkey and Iran, relationships with Morocco, Qatar, etc.?

Such treaties sometimes don't last -- but that has much more to do with the country in question falling under the sway of "Death to the Jews" radical Islam, not with any lack of any goodwill to negotiate on Israel's part.

But, apparently, all those countries must be populated by White people.

Again, who knew?

Last 72 hours: seven ships boarded.

No injuries or deaths or violence on six of them. Injuries and deaths on one ship -- the one whose occupants attacked the boarders in a lynch mob.

That's a curious definition of "massacre" you have there.

Now that's a massacre. Except threads about Sri Lanka aren't very popular.

No international condemnation, no demand for an international investigation, it's as if it never happened.

I guess the other 5 Flotillas (is that a Taco Bell menu item?) must have had all white people on them right? Because the only reason the IDF wouldn't beat people is if they are white, right guys? What intellectually honest arguments we have!

Israel has had very successful negotiations with Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and other Arab nations. What is your evidence that their inability to conclude negotiations with Palestinians has anything to do with them looking Arabic?

Negotiations with Hamas like the current one where Hamas refuses to let the aid into Gaza right now?

How amusing.

It does give me something to do with my spare time - and I get bored with people overstating situations to reporters who then quote them without pointing out for the gullible how untrue they are. Or don't quote other sources who could cover that.

Both sides are saying the other shot first; without independent corroboration I don't think anyone can claim the moral high ground here.

Of course "anyone" can. When you're trying to stop weapons and death from being brought INTO your country, and you are ACTIVELY trying to stop it... THAT is the high moral ground.

Run a naval blockade, pay the price.

Most of the items in that picture look innocent to me. Tools are normal things to find aboard a ship and the knives look like they could be found in any kitchen, so unless they were in people's hands at the time of boarding I wouldn't make anyting of them. That one knife there looks like a decorative piece found in many collectible magazines.

It's hard to imagine any used for the clubs except planned violence. They look like they've been cut from useful tools for the purpose of making clubs. They may not be the most deadly thing there, but they look the most damning to me.

Just a friendly note, a Bic pen (hard crystalline shaft, not the flexible) used correctly and swiftly can let you bleed out your carotid, lose you an eye or ear use, terminate your ability to walk or even stand, put a hole in your heart....., so can a 5-6" nail; rolled magazine or newspaper can interfere with your ability to take a breath for sufficient time to terminate you, etc. So, actual items of mass and club or knife shape can certainly serve as effective weapons. I prefer guns, but.....

r)n.1. The act or an instance of killing a large number of humans indiscriminately and cruelly.

Yup, works for me.

Until Israel releases all footage unedited, their own and that of the journalists, I'm going with the story that IDF forces used live fire before even one of them boarded the ship.
Are chocolate and dried fruits consistently turned away? Or was it a one-time event? What is our evidence that it even happened at all?
Maybe you should ask the IDF that.

Not that you'll get an answer.

I was using the map to counter the idea that Israel is "expanding", or "colonizing" and is a threat to the region.
Yes, obviously, the continued occupation of Palestine and part of Syria, the blockade of the Gaza strip, the wars on Lebanon and Gaza, the airstrikes on Syria and Sudan, and the massacre on a ship in international waters aren't threatening to the region at all.

And are you saying Israel is willing to turn over all settlements to Palestinians? That would be great news!

The occupation of Palestine? What country is Palestine? The wars on Leb and Gaza where the missiles keep coming from? Strikes on Syria where the missiles originate? A massacre on a ship of thugs who beat Israelis?

Clearly you have no problem with violence, only when Jews take action. And Ships not threatening the region? You mean the region where multiple times they have found "humanitarian ships carrying missiles and bombs?

I'll bet Amira Hass takes it from this list here;

http://gisha.org/UserFiles/File/HiddenMessages/ItemsGazaStrip060510.pdf

But I don't know how accurate gisha.org is.

Found this in a right wing blog:
The source for the claim that Israel bans a long list of civilian items, however, is speculative. Kristoff and others link to a list provided by the Gisha Legal Center.

But that list makes clear that it is anecdotal based upon what Palestinians have told Gisha. Even items supposedly banned, like chocolate, actually are not banned but are allowed to be shipped to the international organizations in Gaza which distribute food (emphasis mine):
The following list is approximate and partial, and it changes from time to time. It is based on information from Palestinian traders and businesspersons, international organizations, and the Palestinian Coordination Committee, all of whom "deduce" what is permitted and what is banned based on their experience requesting permission to bring goods into Gaza and the answers they receive from the Israeli authorities (approved or denied). It is not possible to verify this list with the Israeli authorities because they refuse to disclose information regarding the restrictions on transferring goods into Gaza. It should be noted that Israel permits some of the "prohibited" items into Gaza (for example: paper, biscuits, and chocolate), on the condition that they are for the use of international organizations, while requests from private merchants to purchase them are denied.

I do not have enough information to judge the claims, but currently it seems to me that the definition of banned is applied very loosely here - to include items which could be introduced via humanitarian agencies, but are not allowed for private merchants. (Saying that, it is not clear whether Israel actually banned chocolate, or just denied a few applications. I find it very hard to trust both sides on this issue.)

hmmm...

you could always ASK HIM what he thinks about the rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel, or from Lebanon into Israel.

rather than just assuming what he believes.

The West Bank and Gaza is often refered to as "Palestine". Its no different than calling it "The Holy Land".
