Damnotron, you can't run a blockade with bubble gum and legos or machine guns without getting boarded. Get it?

This is untrue. The soldiers boarded the boat as they did with all the other in order to pilot it to the appropriate port and route the aid correctly, as the activists weren't interested in because that wouldn't server their politics.

However, in this boat, the soldiers were attacked with pipes etc. and fought back.

It's dishonest to say that boarding the boat was an attack and the violence by the peace activists was a defense, just like you can't kill a cop that comes to arrest you and then claim you were just fighting back an attack.

and you know ALL of this, due to the thorough investigation that has already occured..right?

all involved, both on the Israeli side and the activist side, have been interviewed and their testimony thoroughly analyzed, right?

well now that you've addressed it directly, we'll have to consider it.

I was enjoying the juxtaposition of phrases like "the peace activists violently attacked the soldiers boarding the blockade runner with improvised weapons" and your plan would somewhat obscure the glaring hypocrisy involved.

Activists would be a fine neutral term, don't you think? You can't really be a peace activist if you intend to start a fight when the soldiers come to stop your blockade running.
 
We should call them terrorists. They came to bring supplies to the terrorist population of Gaza. Israel should let them all starve until they vote out Hamas.

Activists is fine. Provocateurs would work.

Here is an Israeli summary of a few interviews where the activists said that they would "resist" the IDF boarding the ship.

yes i think thats a good term.
actually i didn't call them peace activists anymore after seeing them fight yesterday, afaik.

and if they can be peace activists depends if they see the blockade as legal. when not, they were actually defending them self from illegal boarding. they aren't called pacifist activists.

Also - calling this a 'provocation for propaganda purposes' is absurd and completely ignores the fact that this floatilla is in response to a humanitarian crisis created by Israel - one which Israel keeps pretending does not exist, but which countless aid organizations including amnesty international keep citing insurmountable evidence for. By definition anything that calls attention to the humanitarian crisis in any way will humiliate Israel for the simple reason that any regime engaged in criminal activity does not like to be exposed and have its pristine image tarnished with blood on its hands.

I doubt that matters. Are you familiar with the Freeman on the Land threads? They don't think virtually anything the government does is legal, but if they choose to express that by attacking the police and soldiers, it's a real stretch to get 'peace activist' out of it.

To Israel, terrorist population of gaza = the entire population of gaza.
