Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Vol. 1 Chapter 2

Matthew 7:21 - 23

21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

John 16:2

They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

What's that gibberish supposed to mean, DOC?

Adolf Hitler said:
I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.

I'm in favor of doing anything God/Christ would approve of.

So how do we tell the Goodies from the Baddies, DOC?

Oh goody. A scripture based pissing match.

Wake me when we get to the part where St. John drops acid and envisions the end of the world. At least THAT has good graphics.

What is your source that most experts believe the word doulos as used in the gospels in reference to the Jewish culture of that time (not Greek culture) meant slave.

Do you consider the writers of those 9 translations non-experts?

Also known as the "Chewbacca Defense".

I hope it isn't too late to get your money back from that logic course you claim to have taken and received an 'A' in.

If you want the link about evidence for the truth of the New Testament, here it is:

http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=5702420#post5702420

This is what my post actually said, DOC:

DOC, Post #11054 (which you appear unable to link to, for some strange reason) was nothing more than your most recent, albeit not recent at all, attempt to reintroduce the garbage you tried to pass off as evidence in the OP.

Over 11000 posts between two failed attempts to present the evidence you promised.

Just not going to happen, is it DOC?

Is there no limit to your dishonesty, DOC?

Hmm, I wonder if I should open a thread to ask if Doc (and everyone else willing to answer) considers the bible the inerrant word of gunderscore and if yes which version. Might take some planning though. (I want to do it with a well formulated poll.)

Maybe William Hill will start taking bets on how long this thread will last before Doc presents some evidence.

:D

Nice. I can't find my stoned mouse pic. I think I have it at home.

In any case, how're things over by you?

I created heaps of pictures in that 'genre' ages ago to amuse my daughter, and lacking anything better to call them they became known as 'Space Eggs'. That particular one is imaginatively called 'Yet Another Space Egg' and for some reason, your post reminded me simultaneously of this picture and of the quote from Revelation.

Safe to say I've been involved with this thread for way too long, I think.

I have to wonder how Joobz and pax have kept their sanity.

:) Cheers, mate.

Oooo, I didn't know that was from the bible. I just thought it was some cold-A** S*** Daniel Day Lewis would say to a mother F******* before killing him.

Do you consider the writers of those 9 translations non-experts?
No. I consider them people who condone the beating of servants or slaves. As such, I find them (And anyone who agrees with Jesus on this point) to be morally abhorrent.

That assumes that they had any to begin with. Let's face it, anyone who engages in a debate like this has to be a bit daft.

From what I've read of Revelation, I'd say there's not much point in differentiating.

I wonder if DOC will ever get over his fantasizing about the gospelly bits of the NT and start trying to convince us that whoever wrote Revelation (Luke? Timothy Leary? Charles Manson?) was telling the truth.

That should be a hoot.

Considering this:

I take your point.

Paximperium is sanity's last hope then. Alas! Hokulele's been hauled off to rehab taking a little break, and sixes has tasted of the Power That Breaks Threads™, so he'll go mad shortly and start posting fish, just like . . . someone else.

Be wary, my friend.

I believe it was 2 at the last count.
That you know of.

Lot did the first action, and David was talking about the second one, Why are you saying God approves. Just because something is done in the bible doesn't mean God approves. I'll get to your other points in your lengthy post as time permits. And for the record this thread is about the NT not the old testament. If mankind was perfect and sinless in the OT Christ never would have needed to come.
You didn't say you approved of what God did, you said you approved of what God would approve of.

It's safe to infer that God approved of Lot and his actions because Lot and his family - minus the poor Mrs., of course - were the only ones saved from Sodom and Gomorrah.

It's safe to infer that God approved of what David did. David was beloved of the Lord.

God himself sent those bears to kill children.

And it doesn't matter whether it happened in the Old Testament or the New - God is always God, isn't he? Eternal, immutable, now as ever.

Or are you telling us now that you don't have faith in the Old Testament after all?

So man's actions affect god?
