I particularly like the protection of children with pre-existing conditions, myself.
This stuff really isn't that hard to google:Oh wait, we didn't get any of that! Nevermind. What is it this bill does again?
This stuff really isn't that hard to google:
-Prohibit insurers from rejecting customers based on pre-existing conditions, and prohibit annual and lifetime limits.
-Limit annual and lifetime out-of-pocket costs.
-Set up a new national health insurance exchange.
-Require employers to provide health insurance for their employees, or contribute to a federal fund to help subsidize employees who purchase coverage through the exchange.
-Make small businesses that offer health coverage to employees eligible for tax credits
-Mandate individuals to buy health care coverage.
-Expand Medicaid to cover everyone whose income is below 150 percent of the poverty line.
-Make people who earn between 150 percent and 400 percent of the federal poverty level eligible for subsidies on a sliding scale to purchase insurance through the exchange.
-Make children able to stay on their parents’ policy until age 26.
-Close the Medicare Part D doughnut hole.
The bill would insure an additional 32 million Americans, and reduce the deficit by about $143 billion over the first ten years and $1200 billion over the ten years after that.

Then you need to call it something besides insurance ..we are talking about people's lives....not cars.
Then you need to call it something besides insurance ..
Like, socialized medicine, perhaps ?
And you are a Belgian.
Which provision is that you're referring to?Raises hundreds of billions in new taxes in the middle of a recession.
SOCIALISMthen you need to call it something besides insurance ..

Peephole does not understand that Americans don;t like like being lectured to on a purely domestic issues by a non citizen in a condescending manner.
It guarantees that Republicans will win big in the next few elections. 1994 all over again.
Yet Clinton subsequently won a landslide in '96.
and you did squat. so now....that the Dems decided to act....you can shut up.

This is absolutely AWESOME!!!!-Prohibit insurers from rejecting customers based on pre-existing conditions, and prohibit annual and lifetime limits.
This is Terrible! How are they supposed to afford this? Goodbye Jobs for alot of people, and then ontop of that require they have health insurance.-Require employers to provide health insurance for their employees, or contribute to a federal fund to help subsidize employees who purchase coverage through the exchange.
Wait, i thought that above it stated "Require employers to provide health insurance", why is it saying anything about small business who "OFFER"? Isnt it already a given that they now have to "offer", or am i missing something?-Make small businesses that offer health coverage to employees eligible for tax credits
Somebody please explain.
This makes me sooooooo mad. I dont even want to discuss it.-Mandate individuals to buy health care coverage.
This is fine.-Expand Medicaid to cover everyone whose income is below 150 percent of the poverty line.
Again, im fine with this.-Make people who earn between 150 percent and 400 percent of the federal poverty level eligible for subsidies on a sliding scale to purchase insurance through the exchange.
Well, this is fine as well.-Make children able to stay on their parents’ policy until age 26.
Clinton only survived the 1996 election by pretending to be a conservative. I very much doubt that Comrade Obama will be able to get away with the same thing.
It's for businesses with more than 50 employees.Wait, i thought that above it stated "Require employers to provide health insurance"
It has its upsides, it increases the health care pool, reducing premiums, and it prevents a health care death spiral. This makes me sooooooo mad. I dont even want to discuss it.
You can't complain about budget problems and at the same time oppose cuts to the program. And almost half a century later, medicare is flopped with budget crises struggling to stay afloat. Add to that fewer people are now supporting an increasing population of people going on this system. Seems about right... and they want to shave off another half billion from the program..
