Merged Plane Crashes Into Building in Austin TX

It’s funny how quick Fox News dropped the “terrorist” angle when they found out the guy was white and practically a teabagger.

Not so fast. Credit cards and their debt can cause a lot of problems even for the apparently 'wealthy' among us.

People who make one tiny mistake years ago with the IRS can find themselves regretting it years later, loosing everything in the process. Lone flier could be in this camp.

Actually, Aggle-rithm said the perpetrator was leasing the plane, which would add more weight to the whole "IRS persecution" thing - he could well have been leasing in an attempt to use it as a business expense write-off. [ETA: That's rank speculation on my part, of course.]

His online suicide note is terribly sad. And it sounds like more than "one tiny mistake" with the IRS.

He was leasing the plane.

Which is both more expensive (generally) and stupider. I'm beginning to understand why this guy was in so much financial/tax trouble.

oh, i think he was definitely a terrorist. lone-wolf...but still a terrorist.

I think it all depends on whether he did it to send a message. I'm thinking he did so I would tentatively agree. A terrorist in the same way Rudolph was a terrorist.

How sad; in the early moments of the incident, Alex Jones, on his radio show, instead of lamenting or expressing concern for possible victims, uses his simple understanding of physics and the dynamics of building collapse to contrast the Austin crash and building 7.

I drove by the building today. They still have the access road closed off. I guess I will have to go in the back way when I attend the conference there next week.

I know I'm not saying anything we don't already know, but these people are ****ing retarded.

Eyewitness quotation (verbatim, emphasis added):

The fire department got here real fast, because they actually had an engine sitting over there that happened to be doing something with HAZMAT. So, they were over here, like, right away. So I guess that's the one good thing.*

PrisonPlanet/Infowars headling:

Eyewitness: Hazmat Teams In Place Before Plane Crash

Can these idiots see the fraud they perpetrate? I guess they just really don't care as long as their constituents/sheeple also don't care. The best thing about that article is that PrisonPlanet/Infowars/Alex Jones disciples have exposed their craft of misinterpreting statements made on YouTube videos that they use as "inside job" evidence.

*Yes, it is good when the fire department gets to, oh, say, fires, like, right away. I heard somewhere on the internet about that being their joib.

Yesterday our local news played a tape from Stack's daughter, who is now living in Norway. She said she didn't support what her father did, but she did support his politics.

...which makes me wonder why she moved to a country that taxes the living crap out of you.

She's her father's daughter.
His thought processes weren't all that coherent.

Yes that country taxes the living crap out of you. But where do those taxes go? Wars or to things that actually benefit the citizenry? Yes, I am looking at socialized health care and all kinds of other beneficial crap...

To be fair, it was the talking heads on the TV news that said she shared his politics. What she actually said is that she agrees with her father that there is something wrong with the US.

I'm pretty sure Joe Stack's problem with taxes weren't that they were spending it on the wrong things. It's that he had to pay so much of it.

I had understood from earlier reports that the guy stole the plane he crashed, but from posts here it seems as if y'all think he owned it. Does anybody know which is actually the case? If he owned a plane, he couldn't have been doing too badly with his finances, which makes the whole thing seem all the more pointless.

I don't like this argument. Just because he owns a plane doesn't mean he's doing stellar. Maybe he was for a bit, then the IRS ate away all his earnings. It was coming down to the point where he'd have to sell his plane to cover debts and be left with nothing. Maybe he took a cue from the guy who bulldozed his own house?

No, apparently he leased the plane.

If one needs money then one exits the lease and flies commercial.

Then again in my time as a cable service tech I had occassion to go into houses that were falling apart, that were tiny and dirty , stuffed with crap and who's occupants were obviously on welfare. However, they had beer, smoke, cable TV and often, 52 inch HD TV's.
(why anyone who's living room is 8 foot by 8 foot needs a 52 inch wide screen is beyond me)

Not the point. Especially considering the views of the far right on those social programs.

In fact just about any other western country is far more "Socialist" than the USA and taxes their citizenry more than the USA.
