Just joined the forum and one of the reasons is that I really want to go to my first TAM.

I still see on the site that "details coming soon"... So should I wait until special hotel rates (if any) are announced, or should I start booking things now? Do most people stay at the South Point?

Hi AdMan, and welcome to the Forum!
We will have a group rate, but it hasn't been announced yet. South Point occasionally has 48-hour 50%-off sales, which might be cheaper than what the group rate will be. Almost everyone stays at the South Point because it's so far away from the other hotels. It's about 6 miles south of the Mandalay Bay hotel, IIRC.

It was recently mentioned that registration would be opening very soon, as in within a few days. Don't worry, as long as you keep an eye on randi.org there will be no way to miss it.

Confirmed. DJ Grothe announced it in a podcast that aired Friday.

I too was wondering this. LOL

Just got my set of TAM 7 DVDs! The JREF store sure ships fast, though the actual ordering process was a bit clumsy, with that window that pops up. Or maybe it was Firefox not playing along.

In any case, I can't wait to start watching tonight!
