Haitian Mother Names her baby Israel

"Some 50 tonnes of emergency supplies are also on track to arrive on February 19, funded by the UAE’s Khalifa Bin Zayed Charity Foundation."

Will anyone be alive by Feb 19th?

The correct response would be...

"Oh, I see I made a mistake and Arabs have been helping the Haiti relief effort."

Then let the thread die.

Absolutely. More power to ZAKA. Had he left it at that, I doubt anyone would've said anything.
But then, that part was only the pretense to post the OP. The real reason is the second part, judging from the OP's body of work.

What I object to is this bit:

The implication is that the Arab countries are not contributing, while Israel is - ie, Israel good, Arabs bad.

Turns out the assumption this is based on is 100% bogus, which makes this little more than run-of-the-mill racism.
Absolutely. And it's only a few days ago that the OP started another thread with the same tenet. Does he think we have so short memory?

How many Arabs are IN Haiti giving relief?

How many dollars can you drink?

Im not sure. Have you counted? Have you contacted the IRCRC to check how many Arabs are with them on the ground?

and by the way, money buys desperetly needed food and water.

yes. millions of people will be alive on 2/19. and they will greatly appreciate the 50 tons of emergency food, water, shelter, and medicine.

lets see what Israel is doing on 2/19. Probably back in Haiti, wasting Palestinian toddlers who threw stones.

No boyntonstu. Obviously the entire population of Haiti will DIE by Feb 19th, so they won't need anything AT ALL then.

It's nice that your crusade continues irrespective of facts.

Oh, and the 15 IDF workers compares to the 26 man team from Qatar, the two planes of supplies from the UAE, etc.

If you want to smack Saudi Arabia upside the head, go right ahead. Saudi Arabia and Iran are two nasty repressive governments without a lick of compassion between them.

Also, the aid to the victims in no way deters my criticism of elements of Arab culture. But to say or imply that they don't care or aren't human like everyone else? Absurd.

As a response to the disaster in Haiti , the IDF has sent a Medical and Rescue Team of over 220 members, among them Search and Rescue teams, doctors, nurses, members of the Communications Corps, and more. The IDF delegation arrived in Port-Au-Prince , Haiti and immediately set up a Communications Center and a Field Hospital in a soccer field near the air port, equipped with some of the finest medical and logistical equipment Israel could provide. They began accepting and treating the wounded right away, while Search and Rescue forces continued to locate and rescue survivors trapped in the rubble, including many who were injured during the collapse of the UN headquarters.....

Israel is tiny in comparison to the dozens of Arab countries.

Here's a blogger who reacted to similar allegations:
Now: I was wondering how long it would take for American conservatives to blame the Muslim world for its perceived lack of aid to Haiti. Didn't take long: Jamie Allman, a talk radio host from St. Louis, says the Muslim world is "missing" from the list of donors to Haiti. (And I'm sure he isn't the only one to make this claim.)
[...]
Iran: Iran's Red Crescent society sent 30 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, tents and medicine, on January 16.
[...]
(One notable omission from the list: Saudi Arabia hasn't announced a donation yet, which is really inexcusable for a country with that kind of oil reserves.)
When googling on this, it is apparent the right-wing Israeli blogosphere and commenters to web articles are rife with this meme. It's sickening. Another GIYUS Megaphone action?

can't the Israelis be proud of their heroism without rubbing it in?

What Israelis are you talking about? The only person "rubbing it in" is a guy from Florida.

Agree they should be able to deliver aid without spreading their religion, though.

Jews generally don't proselytize. It isn't something that is encouraged.

Israel is bigger in population and in GDP than Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait. And that's not meant as an exhaustive list.

Don't you get tired of Lying for Israel?

ETA: what about acknowledging your previous lies before moving on to the next?

She got lucky, her infant could have been saved by Great Britain, that would have made a strange first name.

It never ceases to amaze me how, in the face of a disaster of this magnitude. Some human Garbage can't get past political point scoring.

This is true. Ironically, it's also the way Jesus taught people to spread Christianity: Do your good works and pray quietly and people will see what you do and flock to you. And it worked magnificently, originally.

There's that ancient quote about how working with lepers and the sick without a care for themselves was immensely attractive.

It's the difference between being told something, and seeing it function successfully in action. I think Randi has more success demonstrating actual psychic tricks and how they have mundane, if clever, explanations, than reams of hot air talking about it can.

Well said, and I now owe you three Guinness when we finally meet in person.
