Why do (some) astrologers ask for the exact time of birth?

Obviously, you have not a clue as to what you are talking about. Let's leave your third-grade remarks for what they are, shall we?

OH DEAR GOD

THE IRONY

It BURNS!

Seriously, did you not see the formula? That, by itself, disproves your entire astrological prediction system.

Just thinking this through - if precise time & geographical location is important to understand the geometry of the relevant astronomic bodies to the newborn, does the orientation of the newborn relative to the heavens matter?

No, just the geographic location. Astrology is study of time cycles, and applied astrology - this is serious astrology, not the junk stuff that most of the so-called "skeptics" on this board think constitutes real astrology - depends mainly on locations and dates in time.

Astro Teacher, I'd love to have a reading done, what information do you need?

To find a professional astrologer, first understand what it is that you want. Steer clear of those so-called "astrologers" giving out "personality readings" which is a waste of time. Avoid these kinds of readings at all costs, they are worthless to you.

What you will want is a forecast on your own personal transits relative to a point in time, and these forecasts must be practical, something you can actual use in the real world, either personally, or professionally.

So, either the various heavenly bodies don't actually affect the brain, or they affect it in a manner independent of its orientation with respect to them?

Wow, way to dodge the question.

No one really knows, however, there have been some astrologers and thinkers, such as Issac Newton, and Johannes Kepler, who have written of another force they've seen working within mathematics, through the angles of the celestial bodies relative to the Earth that correlate to events that seem to repeat with the passage of time itself in mathematical planetary configurations.

Time itself cannot exist without the movement of the planets, according to Plato, and we know that all things are in motion, as is the weather, which, according to ancient astrologers is regulated by the motions of the Sun, Moon, and planets.

For human beings, metaphysically, the astrologer C.C. Zain surmised that all human beings have astral forms, bodies of light, which are formed by celestial forces that constitute the stellar cells of the astral body. In effect, we as human beings, are made of star stuff, and we thus are affected by celestial bodies relative to points in time (of our personal nativities from birth.)

Observations of planetary significance, made by the movements, or transits, of the planets relative to sensitive placements of an individual correlate to personal events in the person's life.

The ancient astrologers believed that the Moon ruled the human brain which fluctuates its water levels according to the phases of the Moon, with the highest level occurring during the Full Moon week.

We know that the human body consists of 71-percent water, the same percentage of the Earth's water content, and we also know that the motions and phases of the Moon, for instance, do affect the atmospheric tides of the Earth, with observations over time of effects on human beings.

Astro Teacher, you seem to have missed this post by Gord. It should be an easy one for you to deal with, simply provide sources. Thank you in advance.

May I direct you to this post, where I posted a rebuttal which I think covers this claim very nicely?

And I, metaphysically, surmise that all human beings have astral forms composed of Froot Loops that dwell in the fourteenth dimension.

So human brains are affected by the tides?

Ah. Well, because I'm always concerned that "silence=consent," I feel obliged to say that, based on the above text, we have some points of disagreement.

However, I doubt that debating them will benefit either of us, so I'll go back to lurking.

Sure, in time, I will. However, there are plenty of excellent sources online which should be very easy for anyone to deal with who can use a search engine.

Actually, the highest tides occur during the full and new lunar phases- when the sun/earth/moon are in alignment. Search for spring and leap tides.

Yes, each has a 14-day period - from New to Full Moon weeks and from Full to New Moon weeks. Each lunar phase week constitutes seven days.

My point is that the full moon is not special where tides are concerned.

Also, the tidal force the moon exerts on an individual person is seven orders of magnitude weaker than the tidal force the earth exerts on that same individual- which itself is insignificant. The tidal force on a brain is even weaker.

It is very special to astrologers. So, by this, you are saying that this force, because it is "weak" has no effect?
