How do you feel about Holocaust denial and Homophobia, incidently?

The problem is, no one followed up and pointed out that most Muslims dislike the radical extremists he was talking about, and that most religions - including Christianity - has its loony wing.

Indeed, when asked why he hates Islam he referred to passages in the Koran and IIRC told people to look them up. He is right the words are there. However a good Christian like him would also know that the bible also makes clear that women are second class citizens and it also includes a law outlining when to kill a raped woman.

I'm not British but if i were i would probably vote for them. They are afaik the only party that works against multiculturalism and mass immigration, but i could be wrong.

I will watch the videos Oliver linked when i get home, but from all i have heard there wasn't any discussion on politics and they were only discussing Griffin, which is sad.

What is so evil about "multicullturalism" anyway? I agree there is a lot of silliness done in the name of multiculturalism, (FSM save me from some of the "Multicultural Fesitvals" I have seen) but the idea that people of different backgrounds should be able to co exist sounds fine to me.
As for immigration...there are legit arguments you can make against unlimited immigratation (economic for one thing) but the cultural arguments are just plain silly. A culture the will be destroyed because of mere contact with other cultures is probably not worth much anyway.

I thought that was odd since the broadcast time would have been approx 11pm, but I guess that there are particular editorial guidelines for the programme itself, whereby it is judged that bad language is not appropriate.

Unfortunately the BBC is going through one of its "Mary Whitehouse" phases and is looking to ban swearing at any time.

Guess we are in for more badly dubbed "motherflippers" turning up in films. If only there were other TV channels available or even if someone were to invent an off button so that people who don't like swearing would be able to avoid being forced to endure it.

What is so evil about "multicullturalism" anyway?

Where did i say that "multicullturalism" is evil? It's not evil, it is however monumentally stupid and naive.
The belief that different cultures, many of them haven't experienced an enlightenment or have any form of women's rights, can peacefully coexist isn't just extremely naive but also extremely dangerous.

I also see no reason why Sweden should be "enriched" by FGM, Shaira laws and other primitive forms of culture.

I remember that there were "foreign dance shows" on Sweden's national day, apparently Brazilian dance styles were a part of Swedish culture.

I wonder if it was because they heard Griffin was going to be on the show, or if they heard him say things like:

"That audience was taken from a city that is no longer British. That was not my country any more. Why not come down and do it in Thurrock, do it in Stoke, do it in Burnley? Do it somewhere where there are still significant numbers of English and British people and they haven't been ethnically cleansed from their own country."

I don't regard the Griffin episode of Question Time as having been all that substantive. Most of the questions were only asked because Griffin was there. But there is only one first time. From here on out, Griffin only gets by on comments such as the one I quoted.

No, race have nothing to do with it, my objection to multiculturalism is entirely based on CULTURE.

For example South Africa,Iran,Somalia,Kenya and etc. keeping these kinds of savages out of my country is of out most importance to me, and it has nothing to do with their skin color.

American "popular culture" is western, the cultural clashes are minimal of not nonexistent. An increase in the teaching of history will probably minimize the lasting damage it causes to our Swedish heritage.

Where lies the bigotry? Pointing out that most African and Middle eastern culture is in stark contrast to things like women's rights, gay rights, secularism and freedom of speech isn't bigotry.

The current "controls" are obviously not enough.

Most, if not all of Africa, the Middle East and large portions of Asia.

Leaving room for specialists with skills that we need, such as Doctors.
