Vatican commemorates Galileo

Heck, If he was Galileo, he could tell us the objective lens magnification of the telescope he built in 1609, or what the FOV was...

Tell me again what kind of forum this is?

One in which lunatics like Gallileo and Holocaust deniers like you are nevertheless permitted to spew gibberish freely, in the interests of educating the larger population about exactly how poor the reasoning and argument skills of lunatics and Holocaust deniers are.

And thereby supporting critical thinking in all its forms, including the rejection of Holocaust denial as a rational position.

Yes, because I'm a holocaust denier, suuuuure.. Do you have any futher lies to broaden this hyper intellectual forum with? Or is this more like a Oprah Winfrey/Dr. Phil level discussion? That was a rethorical question.

Wouldn't that be ainsi que?

I'm willing to stand corrected Jeff. I'm pretty rusty myself and I only risked my froggyspeak because the joke demanded it.

I might just stick to typing with an outrageous accent in future.

;)

PS Does your pup celebrate Halloween? There's a special on avatars in Community this week.

The apology is not yet complete. I expect to be canonized within the next 50 years.

You realize that you'll have to die within 45 for that to happen. And be something important to the church (hint: some internet troll pretending to be a historical figure doesn't cut it).

You do realize that Galileo died in 1642, before the Internet was invented by Algore.

Are you currently dead? If so, you've probably fulfilled one of the required miracles for cannonization just by posting here.

I think ainsi alone means thus.
I like that avatar. How do I get it?

I am not sure Thomas is a Holocaust Denier as someone who will take up ANY "Anti Established Opinion" position because it makes him feel "Daring" and "edgy".
He is just another "contrarian" making a fool of himself, and incidently totally misunderstanding what the term "Skeptic" means.

Well, since the opinion that the Holocaust happened is an established position, and he demonstrably has taken up the opposite position -- that makes him a Holocaust Denier. Being a "contrarian" doesn't prevent him from being a denier.

A person who holds an opinion for a stupid social reason holds that opinion just as much and just as strongly as a person who holds an opinion for a stupid political reason.

100% correct. Ainsi que ("like") would have been gooderer. I was actually going to use "aussi" but I couldn't remember the syntax for that either.

:)

Note to self: Pull head in.

  1. Open 'User CP'.

  2. On left-hand side, click 'Edit Avatar'.

  3. The dialogue that opens has a text box down near the bottom with 'Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website' written above it.

  4. Copypasta this URL into that box: http://www.yvonneclaireadams.com/HostedStuff/AvatarJeffCorey.jpg

  5. Click 'Save Changes' down the bottom there and you're done.

Cheers :)

True, but people who holds opinions for stupid social reasons tend to be a little less stubborn about them then those who do for ideological reasons, and tend to abandon them when "the next big thing" comes along.
The thing that really makes me despise the Holocaust Deniers is the Anti Semitism and the desire to whitewash Nazi Germany..take away those and a lot of the digust factor is gone. What we are left with are poor fools who think adpating outrageous opinions make them look daring and edgy. IMHO they are ,in the end, a lot less dangerouos then the hard core bigots who make up the huge bulk of Holocaust deniers.

Hmmm.

There must be something wrong with my explanation, but I need another set of eyes to spot what it is. As you can see, the file is definitely valid.

Help, gentle readers!!!

I can see the problem. I have made corrections to the instructions above in bold. The problem was that some of the URL is not visible except when you click on the reply. Look for the ... in the URL to see what I mean.

Tried that too. Didn't work.
