The flaw, as I see it, is that you think that the burden of proof is on us. Dare I say, fair enough? You MAY have a point, but, first of all, the burden is on you to prove something else first: that all the scholars and other 'affirmers', are conspiring to lie.

According to your logic these 15 centuries of Christian and Muslim religious reign implies that these scholars where in possession of the absolute truth, otherwise human kind was the victim of an enormous conspiracy, which is impossible (with that I agree). The truth is that Christian doctrine ruled, not because it represented the absolute truth, but because it was spread 'with the sword' and openly doubting Christian wisdom sometimes even brought you to the funeral pyre. And the same is valid with respect to the holocaust, it is a religious dogma with high social cost for doubters.

I operate in these high level somewhat multicultural environments without any problem (Holland and Europe are still much less of a desaster areas as compared to the US where 44% of the pupils in school are now of non-European origin). I never demonise people of other backgrounds. But for me it is easy, because of the academic level and correspondingly well-mannered people I have to deal with. But I am realist enough to know that people carry their identities with them and when the groups grow in size these identities start to organize and become political factors. And in the end, invariably, military conflict looms.

To openly cover these news stories would stir up questions regarding “inconvenient truths” that many in the US power structure want to avoid. For example, current research indicates that public schools in the United States are more segregated today than they have been in more than four decades. According to a new Civil Rights report, published at the University of California, Los Angeles, schools in the US are 44 percent non-white, and minorities are rapidly emerging as the majority of public school students in the US. Latinos and blacks, the two largest minority groups, attend schools more segregated today than during the civil rights movement forty years ago. Millions of non-white students are locked into “dropout factory” high schools, where huge percentages do not graduate. The most severe segregation in public schools occurs in the Western states, including California—not in the South, as many people believe. Most non-white schools are segregated by poverty as well as race. Schools in low-income communities remain highly unequal in terms of funding, qualified teachers, and curriculum.
