Archeologly proves the Bible?

You are surely jesting, are you not? These are fiction, and I'm sure who ever produced them is having a lend of you.
Do you realize that Noahs ark would need to be the size of Tasmania to hold two of every creature on the planet?
That according to engineers a boat of the size quoted in the babble would take at least 5.000 years to build with the labour available to Noah? Not to mention that the thing would break up at the first sign of a wave. :p

Ah,but god made it four dimensional, like Dr. Who's Tardis.

Not yet as I have already specified I am by no means an expert in this field of study, but I do read and study as I find more time to do so.

Some other interesting points are found in these slide shows by Mace Baker Ph.D. http://www.scienceforcreation.com/slideshows.htm I have heard him speak and bought a couple of his DVD's called,"Scientific Evidence For Noah's Flood" and "Dinasours and Creation." These teachings are very good so I would strongly suggest you get them yourselves.

Um, sure whatever. Really, petrification and coal deposits are formed in 6000 years.

Amazing.

Also Diane Waring (an archeologist) has some other good works of recent archeology finds that do testify to the truth of the Bible as well. One of these works is called "True Tales of Ancient Civilizations and the Bible" I cannot find any written documentation on her teachings but anyone who is serious about investigating Archeology and the Bible owes it to themselves to view her work.

Diane Waring is not an archaeologist, she runs a mail order home scholing business aimed at gullible christians, all her books are titled "and the bible"
so these are your two nominated experts Kathy, please see this definition
http://www.answers.com/credible
and in future use it as a guide as to what is acceptable as evidence
;)

is that the same Mace Baker who got his phd from Pacific International University as he claims on his own page here
http://www.scienceforcreation.com/drbaker2.htm

which is described by wiki as

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_International_University

so first question, why are you claiming this retard knows anything credible when his own page is a demonstration of woo
second question
are all your experts this well qualified
:D

Well done, Oh Marduk.
Then there's the author of the "Geoffrey of Monmouth prooves there are dinosaurs in the British Isles" blog/book, as well as that DVD producer kurious_kathy has recommended so highly:

Noah's Ark Found? Turkey Expedition Planned for Summer

Trust the National Geographic. I was looking for the Altitude of Mount Ararat and found a link to this article dated August 31st 2009.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/04/0427_040427_noahsark_2.html

An international team of archaeologists, forensic scientists, geologists, glaciologists, and others is being recruited to investigate the site sometime between July 15 and August 15.

Ahmet Arslan, a professor in Turkey who has climbed the mountain 50 times in 40 years, will lead the expedition. Arslan reported an eyewitness sighting of the ark and took a photograph in 1989 from about 220 yards (200 meters) away. However, he couldn't get any closer, and the picture is not definitive.

"We hope to assemble what we're calling the Dream Team," Arslan said. "The slopes are very, very harsh and dangerous on the northern face—it is extremely challenging, mentally and physically."

A volcanic mountain, Ararat is covered by an icecap from 14,000 feet (4,300 meters) to 17,000 feet (5,200 meters). The icecap is about 17 square miles (44 square kilometers) in size and is as deep as 300 feet (90 meters).
-----------------------------------------

A member of the Biblical Archaeology Review Forum under the nic of "Elijah" claims to have climbed up the mountain to "Noahs Ark" He could not get close enough to collect samples for analysis and carbon dating on account of the ice. HOW CONVENIENT.

This Elijah is the reason I don't post there any more. I want to keep what sanity I still have.

I found time to have a look at this:

They even have a message board.;)
But no mentions of the woman's qualifications.
Ah, well.

On to that blog/book author.

I feel like breaking into song............Bringing in the sheep, bringing in the sheep.
Trouble is, that's all I can remember of the hymm. :p

Then you have no business posting links to it. When we ask for your evidence for your theories, KK, we want you to present YOUR OWN ARGUMENT. After that, if we ask for the sources of your information, you can post links. Not before.

See above. You are simply trying to swamp us in creationist nonsense. And anyone with half a brain can tell that these are simply stupid.

I am not gifted to teach on many of these subjects, but I am trying to direct you to those that I believe are!

Well, they're not. Believing that they are doesn't make it true. Same goes for your god.

My argument is simply this, I think you owe it to yourself to be more open to see if what these teachers have to offer as far as knowlege goes is true?

That's not an argument.

Dr. Mace Baker Ph. D. does all these seminars and if you are open to hear him speak you can request he come speak and share his wisdom with you. But if that isn't convenient you can buy his DVD's and see his well documented facts. Seeing is belieiving isn't it? http://www.scienceforcreation.com/index.htm here's a link to the home page to see his store and more.

No, seeing isn't believing. Vision is actually extremely easy to fool. But anyway, stop with the links or I will report you for spamming.

Bill Cooper is the author of that hilarious "After the Flood".
I found this about him
Bill Cooper, of Middlesex, England, wrote and edited After the Flood in 1995 (publisher: New Wine Press, England). It is available in the United States via the Institute for Creation Research, Answers in Genesis, and through local bookstores. He has, spent over 30 years carefully researching ancient European genealogies. After the Flood is a summary of this extensive research, all of which is independently verifiable from within the archives of several national libraries.

Mr. Cooper is also a council member and trustee of the Creation Science Movement, based in the United Kingdom. Since writing the book, he has been made Professor of Providential and Geopolitical History at Emmanuel College of Christian Studies in Springdale, Arkansas, a Bible-based college that is not afraid to share wholeheartedly and squarely with the written Word of God

I particularly liked

The evidence does not indicate that these trees grew in this area. They were transported here by current action. Further, it is evident that they were buried rapidly and catastrophically but not slowly and gradually. Dr. Dale Russell comments, "Clusters of stumps were buried upright
http://www.scienceforcreation.com/Petrifiedforest3.htm
almost as if they grew there...........
:D

Almost, eh.
Amazing what those evolutionists are dumb enough to believe, isn't it.

Anyway, since Bill Cooper teaches at the Emmanuel whats-it in Arkansas, I hunted about and found that apparently it's a distance education diploma mill associated with a mr Gibbons.
Curiously enough, the website links to this college in all the references I found flash up a 'not found' warning when clicked.

Added:
Bill Cooper gets a blog dedicated to him by the Accidental Historian:

Sorry, that should be dr Gibbons, not mr.
Click here for an account of his expeditions in search of dinosaurs:
http://www.creationgeneration.livingdinos.com/expeditions.html

I've only barely skimmed the site. It's hilarious.
Okay, I'm a newbie and I have trouble believing these folk are serious, I really do.
I can't distinguish between the 'after rapture' pet insurance scheme and Diane Waring's 'curriculum' of history for home schooling and dr Gibbons' tales of derring-do in Darkest Africa.
After all, they're all three obvious scams, right?
Anyway, back to dr Gibbons.

One quotation from the good doctor, just one, I promise:
If finding a living dinosaur in Equatorial Africa is not quite enough to capture the imagination of the budding explorer, the prospect of filming and perhaps even capturing a living pterodactyl in Papua New Guinea might just do the trick.

It's funny about some of those Biblical Colleges and some "Universities" in the UCSA (United Christian States of America). All one has to do to get a PhD is send in $10.00 and you get a nice "diploma" entitling you to call yourself "Doctor". You can then walk straight into a posh restaurant and get yourself the best table and quick service. Of course you cannot give out prescriptions.

I had a look at the Accidental Historian. Does it rip into Cooper. I started reading "After the Flood". I am about to puke. Bill Cooper B. A. In that case the B. A. stands for Bullsh*t Artist. He stands in good company with Pope Ratslinger.

Perhaps now you understand my 'wasted trees' comment.
Still.
Don't throw in the towel til you see Diane Waring's website.
Trust me.

Isn't it a parody site though?

I'd have thought so, too, til I came across Diane Waring's site.
Added: perhaps kurious_kathy has something germane to say on the subject.

Creationists are always good for a giggle at least. That they are deluded is a shame really.
Smart people in every other way but magical thinking.

I would not have believed it was possible, but I am both seething with rage and breathless from laughter. There's hardly a word about Beowulf that isn't preposterous. For instance, simply declaring that the poem is "clearly" pre-Christian in origin doesn't make that true. It's kind of ironic that he hearkens back to old Germanic-heroism type arguments that the Judeo-Christian element is a superficial interpolation.
.

In fact, literacy and conversion to Christianity went hand-in-hand. This is true also of the Welsh myths found in various madieval codeces and eventually compiled in the Mabinogion. The Celtic gods are presented as mortal heroes. In Beowulf, Grendel is, if I remember, supposed to be a descendent of Cain. There were certainly pre-Christian elements in the poem, but the Christian aspects in it are important as well. It's not simply a pagan work with a Christian gloss.

In any case, appealing to Beowulf as an archaeological proof of the Bible stretches credulity right from the outset.
