Take all your money. Throw it out the window. Perfectly legal, too, and SHOULD be legal. Just like Amway is, and should be, legal.

In fact, it makes more sense than Amway's business plan, since you work a lot less time losing all that money, and chances are whomever finds the money deserves it more than the sleazeballs who make up most of Amway's "big pins".

(Shrug) >>>> That was the smartest thing you said. You went downhill from there. LOL

You can't seem to separate Amway from the tool scam either. LOL

I am in LOTS of company regarding the tool scam. LOL

Yes Tex, most everyone here agrees that the Tool Scam is a bad thing. This is because it is a pyramid scam and primarily purchased for self-consumption.

Just like the rest of Amway and other MLMs.

What you do not understand is that the tool scam CAUSES the lack of retail.

I've checked out the UK catalogue for "Health Wellbeing" and done a quick cross check against the leading UK supermarkets and chemists. Even if these products are the absolute best in their field I cannot see that when they cost at least twice as much as equivalents (and in some cases five times as much) there is going to be a huge consumer demand for them. Now in a country where you don't have a supermarket within twenty miles then maybe there is an advantage to be gained but here in the UK? Sorry I just don't see it.

I've also done a quick look at the Home Living one. Now the most expensive shop I know locally for this kind of stuff is Barnitts in York. I would still save money shopping there over Amway (even taking into account petrol and parking). Again I just don't see it.

IMHO the lack of retail is because of the products and the Tool Scam exists because the products are overpriced and there's no other way to make money.

I can't comment overall on UK prices, but there is also a recent post on icerat/ibofb's site, complaining of high partner store prices. I do know there were several Amway products being reduced in price, up to 75% less, after the UK government blowup a couple of years ago. In the U.S., the partner store prices are EXACTLY the same as their public web site, so when PV/BV is factored in, the IBO gets a LOWER price. There have also been 2 waves of price reductions in the U.S. on several dozen Amway products, with IBO prices being reduced about 17% on average, and rumors of further and significant price cuts later this year.

Yes Tex, I'm scared. I believe you have the power to turn my mind to mush over the phone and get me to buy into the Amway scam. I don't want that to happen, therefore I will not call you.

I'm afraid.

You shouldn't be.

Tex has been in the "Business" how many years?

How many customers has he got?

See? Nothing to worry about.

See? Nothing of substance from Skeptic. LOL

I thought you had pretty clearly stated that you guys got additional deals on Omaha steaks? Which is it?

Some posts moved to AAH.

Keep it civil please. Remember to attack the argument, not the arguer.

Exactly what I said. I said we got the same online deals as anyone else on their public site, PLUS a PV/BV bonus, for our own purchases, our personal customers, our downline IBOs, and their customers.

You sound like a Senator at a health care debate. LOL (Come on, I'm lying to you and being intellectually dishonest, but please don't get upset.) LOL

I think we draw the line a little too lightly on the censhorship but it's not my call.

Anyway, I'm still waiting to see a real business plan for this thing. Maybe Icerat has such a thing?

I doubt it. The LCKs don't want to have business plans, it would shine a bright light on their tool scam. Without a tool scam, there isn't enough money invested to require a business plan. A business plan may help determine how much progress is being made, but net profit does that function adequately, the other major reason for a business plan is to get money loaned to you, but without a tool scam, that isn't necessary.

It's not just money you are investing it's time. Time is money. This is a pretty large uncounted loss in most amway businesses. Any business requires a business plan and this one is no exception.

How many bankers want to see how much time you are planning on investing in a business? I doubt it happens. For the first several years prior to the tool scam entering the picture, I doubt many IBOs had business plans. That's one of the basic concepts of Amway, it is supposed to be simple enough and low cost enough that a traditional business plan isn't necessary.

You may have been told it's unnecessary but that doesn't make it so.

Without a business plan how do you know if you will make any money or not?

All the ones I'd ever do business with...

Of course, you can assume that you won't be able to put in more than 12 hours a day or so, but even then they have a number.

Bankers aside, those who are expected to put in the hours should want to know! How else are they going to determine if it's worth their while?

That would be a bad thing.

That isn't a concept, it's insane. A lemonade stand would require a business plan, albeit a simple one. your "concept" boils down to not having any idea whatsoever if the entire thing has any chance of being profitable let alone worthwhile.

How can you start a business without sitting down and getting a sense of how much work and money you will have to put into it and what the possible results are?

How can anyone claim it's a good business opportunity without also being able to detail what exactly that means?

How can you expect people to buy all that baloney from you?

You may have been told it's unnecessary but that doesn't make it so. >>>> I wasn't told it was unnecessary, I examined the need for one and determined it is unnecessary.

Without a business plan how do you know if you will make any money or not?
>>>> I already explained. The Amway business, minus the tool scam, is too simple and low capital to need a business plan. My marketing plan covers plenty of a business plan elements to demonstrate money will be made. Using your reasoning, without drawing a map, how do you know if you will successfully walk across a street or not?

That would be a bad thing. >>>> Actually, it was a good thing. These folks actually made a net profit prior to reaching Platinum.

It's not my baloney, it's YOUR ignorance.
