The Most Foolish Theory in Physics

Oh brilliant. Can we have a discussion then on the theories merits, and how they pose their problems onto us in a metaphysical wonder?

Your recent attempts at "discussion" ended with (a) you posting a bunch of elementary mistakes, (b) you insulting anyone who tried to discuss these mistakes (c) you bailing out of the train wreck and starting a new thread. Why, exactly, do you want to try again?

Oh brilliant. Can we have a discussion then on the theories merits, and how they pose their problems onto us in a metaphysical wonder?
The merits are that the theory explains what we measure about the universe.
That makes "how they pose their problems onto us in a metaphysical wonder" into even worse gibberish.

Oh brilliant. Can we have a discussion then on the theories merits,

Oh, you mean "a discussion of the big bang's merits". It is impossible to discuss those merits without mentioning how well the Lambda-CDM theory predicted every feature of (among other things) the Cosmic Microwave Background photons. I recommend that you read a few basic articles about the CMB before proceeding.

Nothing against any particular poster, but you really need to spell check stuff if you are to convince anyone of anything. This is so frustrating trying to understand what is being said. Language matters.

Multiple errors I have a Diploma in Physics, but i will accept this as a challenge, for i do enjoy a good challenge.

Why don't you raise the point of any erreneous statement, and i will counter it - how about that for a fair analysis of who has mde mistakes?

I hold you to putting your money where your mouth is.

Since you have a Diploma in Physics, could you solve a Classical Mechanics 101 problem for me so that I can have more confidence that I can trust what you have to say about physic?:

Consider a system consisting of two different masses, m1 and m2, connected by three springs of different spring constants k1, k0 and k2.

|----k1-----m1----k0----m2----k2----|

The masses can slide on a horizontal, frictionless surface. The springs are at their unstretched/compressed lengths when the masses are in their equilibrium positions. At t = 0, the masses are displaced form their equilibrium positions by distances x10 and x20 and released from rest.

(a) Find the equations of motion for each mass using the Euler–Lagrange equation.

(b) Using Similarity Transformation find the Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors.

(c) Find the time dependent position and speed of the masses

(d) Determine the Propagator Matrix.

(e) Describe the Normal Modes of Vibration.

I'll be much more confident about your arguments if you can solve this problem for me, which is a homework problem I had last semester. Thank you.

I have to wonder if he is really a college student. It may not be polite to make fun of spelling and grammar mistakes, but when they appear in every post, you have to wonder.

People have been recommending the **** out of simple books and resources that could correct OP's simple mistakes.

This is a put-on. OP is Tricky having a laff or somebody else. OP cannot be serious.

I think he's probably a college student. He has the arrogance of newly acquired knowledge (along with the ironic shallowness of that understanding) that is so common among college students. But he's not a native English speaker, and likely isn't studying at an English-speaking school.

On the other hand, his front-page mega-posts are spelled correctly and contain parsable sentences.

In that case, I take it back, I'm sure he speaks English better than I speak his language.

His lack of cosmology knowledge still seems a little strange, though, coming from someone who feels qualified to correct the professionals here on the subject. I know some of the guys here teach psychics on the college level, I wonder if he treats his own professors this way.

I won't be part of these suspicious games.
Well, no one could blame you. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I was not aiming just at you. But there is a point where when someone spells "is" as "in", and lots of other likely ambiguous typos, it gets very tricky just to figure out what is being said.

Oh really! :jaw-dropp I'm sorry! Can't help myself!!!

Boy did I learn that lesson HARD after my freshmen year. The difficulty goes up so far after you start doing the upper division courses. I was humbled really quickly... and now I'm terrified of EM, lol (hopefully this means I'll study my butt off).

Dude, that's cool. But could you at least solve the physics problem I gave you? Shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes if you have a degree in physics, I would imagine. I'll repost it for you, for convenience.

Excuse me.

This is exactly my point. One says one thing, the others follow like sheep. Marcus, i don't have a degree. If you pass any of my posts, i have never declared having a degree. A degree is something you earn from university, not from a Higher National Diploma from a college. That is different altogether. You see, this is what annoys me. You all get on your high-horses, and then you **** it up completely. If any of you had two brains cells to rub together in unicon, you'd guys would probably be dangerous.

Anyone who continually tells physics Phds and Professors they know nothing in most uncivil ways deserves little consideration and sympathy from others.

Of course i use the correct terminology... what... do you think i just pulled them out of hat and hoped the best? I have references in the work for gods sake.
Not questioning the words (that was implicit in my post). Am questioning their being any meaning in the order you have placed them. I admit I assume you pulled them from somewhere, but not your hat. Some further down and back.:)
