Seeking some thoughts on Benazir Bhutto comment

So I watched a video on You Tube with Benazir Bhutto a month before she's assassinated and she says something quite peculiar.

She says that Osama Bin Laden is dead and even names his killer. She says this to a very indifferent newscaster, who didn't see fit to ask her to to elaborate. You'd think this would warrant some questioning...

What say the good folks at JREF about this video.

I do wish there was some follow up on her comment. The newscaster really should have elaborated. This leaves things too in the dark...BTW what do you know about Bin Laden's whereabouts, latest activities, I haven't really followed up on it.

Supposedly Bin Laden published an address at the same time Israel celebrated it's 60th anniversary [last year]. That's the last I remember...

It's obvious he's dead, because if he was still alive he'd of been caught and killed by now, the US can find anyone they want, at any time.

Why on Earth would Omar Sheikh kill Osama Bin Laden? She clearly misspoke. Truthers exist in this parallel universe where figures flippantly make extraordinary claims in high-profile interviews, from the criminal controlled demolition of a building in New York to the murder of possibly the most infamous man on Earth.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll find Amelia Earhart and Flight 19 any day now.

Anekua Earhart was part of flight 19? OMG, so much about the Bermuda Triangle becomes clear! I knew when she disapeared she was sucked through a mini-blackhole in the middle of the pasific and transported through the core of the earth to Bermuda.

lol...you are suppose to put [sarcasm] quotes around that, followed by a reference to the Cheney-CIA hitsquad program.

This reminds me of Ted Kennedy referring to Obama as "Osama" and was caught on tape doing it during a senate hearing. You can imagine what that did to the woos. Like Ted Kennedy, the most likely explanation is that Bhutto was referring to someone else either with a similar name or got the names mixed up.

The woos use this in their rage against the machine anti-war rants, but this doesn't fit well with their own mythology. After all, if Butto was high enough in the NWO/Illuminati/<Insert Mythical Organization Here> to know Osama was dead how did she get assassinated?

The woos might claim that it is because of her stating this that she got assassinated, I suppose, but why make it such a minor point in a interview - if you were going to expose such a ruse, why not call up the New York Times and get a front page story about it?

I know the answer but I forget it. Re-watching now...

Okay she is clearly referring to a different person - one killed by Omar Sheikh, so Daniel Pearl is probably what she meant to say. The context is important, as it's relative to an ISI guy she feels is behind Al Qaeda/etc. the bad guys only she could stop etc. NOT the time to imply an ISI enemy was responsible for KILLING the main bad guy. A strange freudian slip, or a bad fake one, or something, thinking Bin laden when talking about this evil Pakistani dude.... ??

Anyway, it's just a few words that don't even make sense.

All very sobering responses, which reminds me why I love it here so much...Thank you guys...

I've been practicing being a skeptic when debating lately (I'm still a noobie though) But I've been spending a lot of time yackin' on info wars, trying to get a few of them to see the light. I've talked to a couple that have some pretty good potential. But the people there truly are ready to throw out their brains and pick up their guns.

To throw out their brains, they have to have them to start with.

Don't know how you manage to make such a mistake and not correct yourself.

This explanation makes no sense to me, but since she is now dead we won't ever know. How convenient.

Yeah, it is prettty strange to think Danny Pearl and Say Osama bin Laden. That's just my guess, after watching it a few times. Might be wrong, and it's not like I'm out concocting major theories on it. I would never do that based on a few words that don't make sense from a long interview with no supporting evidence at all I'm aware of, and I think a lot to the contrary. I'd never do that.

What's that? Maybe the US was behind the assassination because of her strange statement about OBL being murdered, got her to go back to Pakistan and tried to frame AQ by way of a suicide bomber? Except it was a hasty job and they messed up <snip>

It's not just you. A lot of people have brought up the exact same idea. It doesn't really matter now because it's a dead end for discussion purposes.

I'm not really sure why you are feeling so vindictive by bringing up an old post of mine. You can quite easily dismiss that quote and I wouldn't care either.

I wasn't necessarily attacking you personally as most other debunkers and jref members say the same thing that it was a mistake. I was merely stating my opinion that it makes no sense to so easily dismiss it as such.

I didn't have a problem for you to offer your explanation. I just disagreed with it. Is there anything wrong with that?

Seriously, don't be such a douche. Your sarcastic comment is such a childish tactic.

If Bhutto hadn't referred to bin Laden as if he were alive (both before and after the interview) it'd be tough to hand-wave it away as just a mistake.

Except, she did.

Many times.

(Go to the video's description to see more instances of her referring to bin Laden as if he were alive.

Terribly sorry. It seems I made yet another mistake. What's that? I'm being sarcastic again? :D

Now I think by "you" you meant Bhutto. Oroginally I thot you were saying my theory was a mistake, which is why I got snarky. Apologies, and agrreed - it's a weird thing to say, she and the host ignored it, and she's dead now. I'm pretty sure it never was anything, but opinions will differ. :)
