But according to public opinion polls, a majority of Americans do question what happened on 9/11 so this should make a grassroots campaign even easier.

Even if public opinion was against 9/11 truth, why should that stand in the way of justice? The vast majority of Americans were opposed to desegregation in the 1950s yet that didn't stop the civil rights movement from happening.

As for Lois Gibbs and her organization, the Love Canal Homeowner's Association (LCHA):


The community quickly began to express their anger and concerns. Even quiet and retiring residents suddenly found themselves raising their voices in public protest. The protests included mothers and fathers with their babies and old people who were ready for retirement. They marched into the streets on Mother's Day, carried symbolic coffins to the state capitol, and held prayer vigils. The residents also picketed at the canal every day for weeks in the dead of winter, hoping someone would hear them and someone would help.

Because of the pressure created by the protests and the persistence of the community, the state was forced to address the community's concerns...

LCHA presented their findings to the state health authorities who quickly dismissed the study calling it "useless housewife data," saying residents' illnesses were all in their heads, the birth defects were genetic, and the urinary disease the result of sexual activity (in a five-year-old boy??).

So, the community went back to the streets and explained their problems to the public in order to gain the public support needed. Thousands of people soon began to write letters and send telegrams to the Governor, to legislators and to the President. Residents created so much pressure and public outcry that the health authorities were forced to investigate the claims.

Police Harass 9/11 Truthers Outside ABC Studios

Police were out in force to harass a group of about twenty 9/11 truth movement activists, led by Luke Rudkowski of We Are Change, telling them to take down signs, turn off video cameras and cell phones, checking ID's and taking information - despite the fact that they were simply news gathering and exercising their first amendment.

Officers were uncomfortable that their own image would be caught on camera, despite their demands for information from the group and a myriad of surveillance cameras pointed at the protesters from police cars and nearby buildings.

In the real world, there are always some people that risk literal death to get the truth out. There were 10s of thousands of people very close to the events of 9/11 and also read the news. They seem to agree that what they saw and what was reported agreed in the basic story. Those news reports are available to any "Truth" researcher in the online archives for the local media in Washington, Shanksville, and NYC.

None of the brave first responders seem to have a problem with the truth that is the standard story. 3,000 firemen know what killed 340 of their friends. They know it wasn't our government or any agents of our government.

Thier are first responders that want to know the REAL TRUTH about what happened that day.

Yes, the police can be unfair at times. So what? How many times was Dr. King thrown in jail, Gandhi beaten up? Here are some statistics from the "Freedom Summer" of 1964:

Over the course of the ten-week project:
  • four civil rights workers were killed
  • four people were critically wounded
  • eighty Freedom Summer workers were beaten
  • one-thousand people were arrested (volunteers and locals)
  • thirty seven churches were bombed or burned

Those people were on private property and (I recall) within view of a street-level TV studio. They were asked to leave by the TV studio. They refused. They were offered a legal spot. They refused.

They were in the wrong for their trespass.

Unless you are willing to go to jail for the truth, when an officer asks you to move, you move and you talk to the ACLU about in the morning to see if you have a 1st amendment case.

As stated some people just do not want to put up with being attacked and harassed all the time.

Hopefully if i get some more information and documents through FOIA request i can get some others to face reallity and stop being afraid too.
 
Looks lie you are the one having a hard time coming up with evidence, ROger. Still stuckj on the wheel thing? How many years has it been now?

Then why do none of them ever join the 5 or 6 truthers that go to Ground Zero on Saturdays when it isn't raining or too hot or too cold?

Waiting for "fear of losing job or pension" stupidity in 3....2....1

I agree that many people can't hold up to a police beating but the truthers complain about people writing bad stuff about them on the Internet.

And many of them have died in the last 7 years, some for what they did on 9/11 and many for natural causes and none of them have made a death-bed statement.

I know some of these people. They are not shy about that they think went wrong on and after 9/11. They gripe about health care and the radios that killed their friends.

How many NY firemen do you know?
