Waterboarding Rocks!

I never thought I'd hear myself say this because I support the war in Iraq, but more than 5 000 US soldiers have been killed due to "conservative thinking".

Your point is irrelevant, and ridiculous, if you even thought you had one to make.

U.S. casualties in Iraq were not due to IED's, snipers, and rocket fire but "conservative thinking?" Well, that let's the Islamic Fundamentalists off the hook.

What kind of argument is that? Do you really think that this furthers your point?

Only to a rational person. If the CIA truly believed that they were violating the law with waterboarding then they would have never let these 3 breath another breath after they were done with them. Waterboarding was approved by the White House, the Congressional leadership including the democrats and the Justice department. Now you have a new president that has ordered the violation of an Ally's airspace to kill terrorist subjects and women and kids with the gall to threaten prosecution of his predecessor for making the lives of not suspected but known terrorists lives uncomfortable. If you want to talk morality then elect a moral leader not the petty juvenile that you just elected.

No it's the ill management of the war that caused alot of unnecessary US casualties I was talking about.

Well if Bush had finished the job in Afghanistan in the first place, maybe this "juvenile" wouldn't have had to violate Pakistani airspace, now would he?

But they didn't.

... then they would have never let these 3 breath another breath after they were done with them.
But they did know that that was illegal.

Doing things that annoy you is not necessarily immoral.

{not putting up}
That's what I thought.

No. But it would be 10 root canals if they did it in 10 visits or all in 1.

Well even with the goal post moving at least now you all are accepting the fact that KSM was only water boarded 5 times NOT 183 times. Now please go read the memo page 37:

http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/042809_memo4.pdf

What you will see is that the guideline only allowed for water to be poured on their face no more than 6 times in a 2 hour session and for no more than 10 to 40 seconds at a time. It also states only two 2 hour sessions are allowed in a 24 hour period over a 5 day period within a 30 day window. That means that in each 2 hour session only 6 minutes of that time is devoted to 10 second applications of water spread out over 2 hours.Do the math. there is NO way that KSM was in any way endangered.

What do you call finishing the job in Afghanistan?

So if you were subjected to 40 seconds of waterboarding, would you have been waterboarded once ... or one-sixth?

If someone maintained that you had not been waterboarded once, would this be in any way truthful?

Now you have a new president ... with the gall to threaten prosecution of his predecessor for making the lives of not suspected but known terrorists lives uncomfortable.
Really? How many of the Gitmo prisoners have been let go with no charges? Hint: Feel free to express the number in hundreds.
