Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Once again you misrepresent me. I said "most" women want that, and I stand by that statement as true.

Please provide evidence that your statement is true.

And even if it were true, how does it make the sentiment any less sexist?

ETA: Nice, nasty, last-minute edit there DOC. Your post as originally composed is quoted here.

Once again you misrepresent me. I said "most" women want that, and I stand by that statement as true even though you might not want that.

And here is a quote with the edit to demonstrate the nasty part. My bolding.

Apparently, what I and/or any other women want out of a partnership is irrelevent in the face of the DOCian TruthTM.

Nice.

ETA: And rather sexist.

Once again you have proven to be a liar. You said "most" women, it was a statement about a feminism issue which you denied and have been shown to false.

You can stand by your statement all you want. We all know your credibility which is basically none. In fact, it probably is a negative credibility since you are essentially destroying the credibility of Christians by your continued lies and ignorance.

You must have missed this sentence:

"And I said before that doesn't mean the woman doesn't have important input or even that the woman is not equal with man before God."
Part that DOC snipped out that is offensive sexist:
"But I believe the bible teaches that man has the final say in a household, and that is a God given authority. And I think that "most" woman would agree with that and want that."

You must have missed the part where this is still a sexist pile of garbage which places women second to men based on nothing more that your book of myths.

I said that's what I think, and that is what I think based on the evidence of my life experience. And if it is true it is not sexist because it would be a true statement about the majority of woman.

If it is true and you believe it is right, you are a sexist.
If it is not true and you believe it is right, you are a sexist.

First Slavery and now Sexism.
Add one more problem with the lack of morality in DOC's god.

You've got the right to your opinion, but nowhere do I say a woman is second to man. Was Michael Jordon second to Phil Jackson because Jackson was the coach. I do not believe a woman is second to man before God. I believe they are equal partners before God.

Justify this statement as not calling women second to man. How is that equal?

But yet

I believe the bible teaches that man has the final say in a household, and that is a God given authority.

So you think that what the man says, goes. Why do you think God wants that, DOC?

You've got the right to your opinion, but nowhere do I say a woman is second to man.
The person who has ultimate authority on the decision making process is FIRST.
Your argument amounts to a claim of the man being "first among equals", but First among equals is still first, meaning all others are second.

I do not believe a woman is second to man before God. I believe they are equal partners before God.
Do you believe the children are equals to parents in the eyes of god?

ETA:
Note to all, Remember that Jesus used the master/slave analogy to describe man's relationship to god. Being equal in the eyes of god is like slaves being equal in the eyes of the slave owner.

So then do you believe the following from Wiki's article on King David of the Jews was not true:

"David conquers the Jebusite fortress of Jerusalem and makes it his capital...

<snip>

David goes on to conquer Zobah and Aram (modern Syria), Edom and Moab (roughly modern Jordan), Philistine lands, as well as other territories, in many cases exterminating large portions of their citizenry."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David

First of all, one counter-example, would not disprove the fact that wars of extermination were the exception rather than the rule.

Second.... you remember how we mentioned how many portions of the Bible were, according to archeological evidences, fictitious?
That does include the history of David.

Funny indeed that you do not see fit to quote the passage from the very Wiki article you quote that present how doubtful is the whole story...
