Best news source

Savage is absolutely hilarious.

He hates everything. I've never heard anything like it.

I remember Savage going on about a newspaper article in SF about how to make the perfect dinner party. Needless to say, he was not amused. Say what you want about his wacky opinions, but he is pretty entertaining to listen to.

I actually prefer opinion based news since the bias is openly acknowledged rather than hidden and I can then filter the story as presented through what I know about the presenter's bias.

As such, I get most of my news from NPR and The Daily Show since the liberal bias of those sources tends to be less vitriolic than equivalent conservaterve sources.

Could you actually substantiate the claim that NPR is biased to a liberal slant?

For pity's sake, they eulogized Reagan endlessly when he died. Some individual shows may be biased but I don't see anything inherently liberal about being more informative and in depth than other news sources.

I get all my news and opinions from the man in the pub. Bloody incredible source of news and he has an opinion on everything. Not only does he always know what is happening, he also always knows what should be happening.

Huh, you're hanging out with Bill O'Reilly?

If you let your taste buds dictate your diet, chances are your body will be deprived of nutrients that are essential for your body to function properly . If you let ism's (see Ism Spectrum)dictate your news source then you might be depriving yourself of information that could potentielly broaden your scope on THE BIG PICTURE . Forcing yourself to pay some attention to news progams that you don't like or normally watch allows for the opportunity catch pieces to the puzzle that otherwise might not have been discovered on your favorite programs.

It is always useful to keep informed about the buzz in the asylum, even if you don't want to move in.

The Daily Mail.

I like to keep up with how immigrants are affecting house prices; the current state of the project to divide everything in the world into things that cause and things that cure cancer; and how Princess Diana is still dead.

I used to rely on Weekly World News, but since it went belly-up, mostly the Washingon Post. Not as reliable as WWN, but it has good comics and sports.

:dl:

No, seriously, where do you get your news?

(I apologize if this is a parody thread)

:o I know I know, I deserve that.
I regret saying Savage Nation in my opening post but I don't regret saying FSTV because last year my local news channels went on and on for days about a Dallas cop getting killed serving a warrant at 9:30 pm, they beat on the door the guy said who is it they didn't say police so the homeowner dialed 911 and said there was someone trying to break in his house, next thing you know a police was shot and killed. On the very same day 5 Philadelphia cops were wrestling a man and when they finally subdued him one of the cops got back on his and immediately shot him in the back the head while he was pinned face down on the ground. Someone had a camera phone and recorded it and sent it to FSTV and they were the only news source that I know of that mentioned it.
