Bigfoot: The Patterson Gimlin Film - Part 2

Lets turn that upside down and call Mr. Occam

Suppose Laverty was nothing more than a mark and he found exactly what he was 'supposed to".

......
Another thing to consider, is that Laverty and his crew were all over the area this was taking place, and never saw any other evidence of the Bigfoot family that was supposed to be there ..

More: http://www.squatchopedia.com/index.php/Lyle_Laverty

On Monday, October 23, 1967, Lyle Laverty and his marking crew from the Six Rivers National Forest visited the Patterson-Gimlin film location. The crew, who had been working on a timber sale, had been camped nearly all summer just downstream from the site at the junction of Notice Creek and Bluff Creek. They learned about the event while in Orleans for the weekend. After their arrival, Laverty followed the tracks of a single individual along the sandbar for several hundred feet.

So they were camped out in this hot-bed of Bigfoot activity, and nary a pine-cone was tossed in their direction..

Here is a little more from a post by Knights over at BFF

He stated in response to one of the follow-up questions that he and his crew had gone up and down Bluff Creek regularly that summer. (IOW, if the tracks had been laid down weeks before the filming, as BH alleged, it's unlikely they'd have been missed multiple times.)

Just want to emphasize again, that P&G were in this area because of all the alleged Bigfoot activity; while a timber survey crew who was there all summer - and past the filming event - never claimed to have seen any evidence of Bigfoot at all .

well, didnt laverty only cast the tracks at bluff creek? i dont think he was meant to scour the area. and trust me, remote regions of cali are very very difficult to travel

I did consider that too.

I could see a forester who never found anything ( before and since) saying "OK, lets go see" and then "this is interesting"

they dont use phony to me. the tracks show flexation, pressure differences etc. but patterson was a shady character

ques: how could you fake a track showing toe flexation? im not saying it cant be done, but would like to know how

dio, whats ur stance on squatch?

No way is that analogy gonna work in an audience of critical thinkers. Nobody needs evidence of cattle for a roast beef cooking demonstration. But these cowboys didn't deliver a film showing meat and potatoes. They expect us to accept a film of something like roast unicorn and potatoes. No, look, you gotta just believe us that the meat is unicorn. OK?

40 years later and thousands upon thousands of anal retentive eyes and minds pouring over its every micro second well can anybody seriously expect that whatever was presented on that film would somehow be enough, with or without still camera shots? What were the questions asked of it in 1967 or 1972? Not a single utterance to my knowledge of an interviewer asking' So Roger you had some still cameras why didn't you use them?

In retrospect the possibility that Patty got up high and watched the proceedings for a while says two things. Either Patty really did sit and watch or Patterson and Gimlin didn't track at all, which is likely. But what of the Patty sitting and watching? If there was a being sitting there and they tracked odds are Patterson and Gimlin would have gotten another shot at her. I do find it interesting that if there was no Patty except a hoax then what was sitting and watching after the filming? Both a hoax? One hoaxer after the fact reinforcing another?

What evidence do you have that anything ' sat and watched ' , other than the dubious claim of another self-styled Bigfoot hunter ?

Crow, at what point in the Georgia Bigfoot in a Freezer escapade did you realize it was a hoax? Was it after WP found the suit on the web or after the boyz admitted to the hoax?

Go Back and read my posts on BFF. You'll discover that I called Georgia a hoax from the get go.

What evidence do you have that says said self styled Bigfoot hunter didn't find evidence of Patty sitting and watching? Do you have any? An independent source perhaps?

Now Crow, you know it doesn't work that way .. ( ... not here, anyway )

Forget which forum you were posting on ?

But putting that aside - the evidence I have that Patty didn't sit on the side of the hill watching , is the total lack of evidences she ever existed ( as a non-human North American primate )...

Laverty and crew are all over Bluff Creek at the same time P/G are all over Bluff Creek camping and traveling with 3 horses and provisions. They could have run across each other or signs of each other's presence.

How does Laverty find the site anyway?

If Roger rented the K-100, he probably rented the still camera or borrowed it.

The still camera would be better for documenting the tracks, yet Roger apparently doesn't bother.

You could also get up on the hillside and take a still of a section of the trackway, for example. Far better than following the tracks with a movie camera. It documents the path, and takes little effort and time to do.

You could film a track depth "stomp test" and take nice stills of the results. Again, this takes little added effort or time.

(It's interesting that in the early radio interview, no such "stomp test" is mentioned, despite discussing Patty's weight.)

They went there to film tracks, yet there are no scale objects used to confirm track size. They seemed unprepared to properly document or cast tracks. They claim there was a depth test, but there's no sign of it as far as I know.

which led me to revisit this thread at BFF, in which, Hairy Man states that there was another party led by 'Walt' which went to the site a Day after Laverty.

I am trying to establish all known visitors to the site between the day of the alleged filming, and the Titmus visit. I am also trying to determine, which people were on horses, and which were on feet. Of course all this info would be anecdotal, unless there were some photos of the crews at the site.
The reason I am interested, is that Titmus could distinguish clearly which footprints were Roger and Bobs, and also which horse hooves were R & B's, and I am concerned that there may have been 10+ visitors to the site within 3 or 4 days of the filming.

Do you know if Laverty and his Crew or Walt Kurshman rode horses when they visited the site?

Hairy Man said:
Hummm...Laverty and his crew wouldn't because they were a timber crew marking timber (so they walk every where). Rangers, in the old days, always rode horses, but once roads went in, it was fairly uncommon...but I have no idea. I'll ask Walt next time I see him.

I am really concerned about Titmus' ability to differentiate tracks by the time he got there.

Hairy Man- Did you ever get a chance to ask Walt if him and his guys, or if he knew for sure if Laverty's guys rode horses to the track area?

Also, HM, do you know how many people were in Walt's Crew? and does anyone know how many were in Laverty's crew?, Was Owen Pate at the filmsite with one of those crews, or his own group, and when did he go there in relation to Titmus' trip?

What made you so sure it was a hoax......other than Bill Green saying so?

Simple, the jackass youtube videos they were making and my 100% certainty that there is no Bigfoot in Georgia. Seriously the GA hoax was no brainer.

PS Bill Green is an entity onto himself and I mean that in the most flattering way. If anyboy deserves to prove the Bigfoot issue its Bill Green. Updates as they continue!

Measuring Patty with CAD

Interesting thread at BFF. The contention is that the LeClerc panorama trackway image is distorted and gives false measurements (causing Meldrum to use a bad stride length). I guess the correct stride is about 41". That is enormous!

Can anyone work backwards from that and estimate the necessary height to achieve this walking stride?

I know that mangler has fit a CAD skeleton into Patty (for the BH comparison). Can he (or maybe Bill) use that same CAD skeleton and create a 41" stride? What does that skeleton look like when making a 41" stride?

What happened to your certainty that BF went extinct? Have you changed your position?
