Nope. Tasmanians generally have light brown skin. European Tasmanians do tend to be white though.
 
I'm not Jewish and I have a whopping great hooter! I have been to Israel though. Perhaps I caught it there? And then spread it to my brothers and my Dad?

The only thing I didn't like about Israel was the very young people carrying the very large guns.

It doesn't make sense to attribute any single characteristic to an entire group of people. Except the French of course... :)

Have a nice life"?

Well, it's consistent with the "tyzachs" statement.
 
Weird. I am Jewish, Ashkenazi (East European), and a Cohen (i.e., descended from the priest caste in ancient Palestine/Canaan).

But here's the thing:

- I don't have Tay-Sachs.
- I don't have a particularly large nose. (A genetic trait, btw, which is completely unrelated to Tay-Sachs.)
- If I love money, I have a weird way of bleeding it like a sieve.

The above applies to the rest of my family, too.

Weird. It's almost like Old Bob talks in stereotypes, without regard for facts.

I think what Old Bob was trying to say with the dunny reference is that he would never close a property deal with a person unless he knew that person very well. It's like a metaphor - "I know how often he goes to the dunny" equates to "I know that person very well."

Of course, in Old Bob's case, that only means that he has decided which of his limited number of mental stereotypes to apply to that person.

I just saw the Albert Finney version of _A Christmas Carol_ on DVD last night. Good show. I particularly like how Scrooge keeps going on about how kind and generous he is....
