Damn slow month for May, so here be the top 10 Stundies. Vote Wisely and responsibly.

1 - Dictator Cheney and how to become an expert in ANY field
even chemists can be "experts" in tall building collapses aslong they folow the "official theory"

2 - Redibis putting the cart before the burning horse
Do you understand the difference between smoke and flames?

3 - deep44, just because pride goeth before the fall
Smart people also know how to spell "judgment".

4 - chek. I need not say more
The fluid formed by fine solids and heated gas occurs rarely - on the surface of the Earth, only volcanoes and totally destroyed World Trade Centres are known to cause it.

5 - jimd3100 thinks this is odd...
it is suspcious that government workers would be at the pentagon

6 - Killtown Time. Plane, shovel... same thing
Through experimentation, I found out that no matter how hard or how fast I thrust my steel shovel into the soft dirt of my garden, not once was the shovel broken or disintegrated. Even when my pitcher nephew threw the shovel into the soft dirt from a raised platform at approximately 98.3 mph, the steel shovel still was never damaged.

7 - theauthor pens up a beauty
Judy Wood was never in a coma. Somebody on a another board did all manner of news searches and came up with nothing. A story like that would at least make local news. I don't beleive for a second she was in a coma. She was off on a nother CIA mission, and no i'm not joking.

8 - tthuhta on a theory to muffle the explosion sounds.
Can you wrap the explosives with mattresses to muffle the noise? I've been living near a place where rock was blown to crumbles. You clouldn't hear much anything in the air, you just felt your house shake

9 - Zaphod36 and what happened to Flight 93
Flight 93(?) probably was hit by a thermobaric weapon while airborne, low over the ground near Shanksville.

10 - Sanders points out that Floor 30 was the keystone
Seriously, how can it not be said that the 30th floor did not support the total weight of floors 31 through 110 all those years? Just as floor 29 held up the weight of floors 30 through 110, etc. etc.

Number 4 was tempting. I get a good chuckle everytime someone brings up "pyroclastic flow".
Then I read Killtown's "shovel test"...and have to wonder if he measured the speed of 98.3 mph with a radar gun....or a rectal thermometer....
But number 7...seriously believing that Judy Wood is a CIA operative...now that's pure comedy gold! :D

Edit: Psssst! There's no linkies to the posts.....;)

then go to the nomination thread, slacker.... :D

Dylan didn't make it for his "omniscient" role in Jason and Korey's new film? Pet Goat didn't make it for saying the implications of rakeonrake were obvious?

Dylan says enough stupid s[chting!] to get his own Lifetime Achievement Stundie and Pet Goat almost made it.

Have to go for Killtown, even over my own nomination (chek), just for the perverse pleasure of picturing him chucking shovels at the ground very hard :)

I gotta go with theauthor only because killtown is capable of much much more than this.

ALRIGHT!
It looks like Theauthor is going for the win!
WOO HOO!!!
WAKE UP SHEEPLE!!!!!!11!!!!!!

I have to go with No. 5. The fact that the poster is suspicious of government employees being in a government building...

Same here. Even in a movement noted for it's paranoia about government employees, this is taking it to a whole new level.

Being the sort of science nerd that I am, I went for #10 (Sanders' misunderstanding of how loads are distributed on a building.) To me, this demonstrates fact that the Truth Movement is not ignorant but unwilling to learn.

I may have to eat these words if Sanders does an about-face once he's presented with some facts about engineering.

Killtown almost got my vote, but unfortunately Zaphod36 sounds like the more outrageous D:

Actually, as far as number 3... I THINK it IS spelled "judgment". Please no one nominate me for a Stundie if I'm wrong, but I just spell-checked "judgment" and it comes up OK. "Judgement" comes up wrong.

Is that the reason this was nominated, or is there something else?

my rankings

10th place: Zaphod36

9th place: deep44

8th place: Dictator Cheney

7th place: theauthor

6th place: Sanders

5th place: tthuhta

4th place: chek

Bronze Medal: RedIbis. To think that a huge mass of smoke can come from anything but a huge mass of fire takes a special kind of stupid.

Silver Medal: KillClown. I wonder how he was able to measure that his nephew threw the shovel at precisely 98.3 mph, or, for that matter, how his nephew was even able to throw a shovel that hard.

Gold Medal: jimd3100. Just...I'm speechless. There are no words. Just wow.

I initially nominated it because I was unaware of the US spelling. It was subsequently decided that since the rest of the english speaking world spell it "judgement" that Deep44 was effectively saying that anyone not from the US is stupid.

I'm surprised it made the finals, but I voted for it anyway.

Jimd3100 sounds like it has been quoted out of context.

I would like to see the rest of that sentence.
