Loose Change being shown in Birmingham, UK

You made the claim that he was a national hero. I want some documentation as such to verify that he is

Yeah he did himself a real favour by breakin the official secrets act and ending up in jail.

he spent 6 weeks in an "open" gaol made a fortune from books and lectures rather than the pittance he got from his role as a junior civil servant. He's in it for the money and the fame.

Do I detect a hint of jealousy?

He had no idea when he exposed the secrets that he would become famous for it. He did the right thing, when hearing that a crime was being planned. Do you not think he was right to report it?

Don't forget he was forced to go on the run to france and ended up serving jail time, which could have been far longer.

you never stated that he was a national hero in your opinion.. just that he was a national hero

He is.

And Brodski never claimed he was a traitorous slime in his opinion. He just said traitorous slime. Why did you not pick him up on it?

He is in YOUR Opinion. And there's a difference between being hailed as a hero and as a dirtbag. I tend to take accusations of national heroism seriously, that's why I didn't ask Brodski about his claim.

Dammit. Kerrang is my radio station of choice.

Well, one email of protest from an ex-loyal listener coming up. I don't mind the film being shown, I do mind a commercial radio station backing it.

I am, by the way, perfectly happy to take debunking materials to the cinema and the radio station. Is there a succint one-pager that does this?

Brodski was being slightly dishonest in saying that SHayler spent 6 weeks in an open prison. He also spent 4 months in a French jail before being extradited.

of course, but he didn't go on local television and start calling himself a god, did he?

And what's Mandela got to do with this anyway?
