Derren Brown Trick or treat

Are you 4 years old?

Its being a typo implies that it isn't caused by English not being your first language.

I know that, that's why I said that in this case it was just a simple typo. Meaning that it doesn't have anything to do with English not being my first language.

Maybe you need to check our own English, as you don't seem to understand simple things people are trying to tell you.

So when you said . . . it was for no reason at all?
No. There was a reason.

So now you're back to making things up and adding conditions not previously there. I suppose Penn & teller's use of clear cups can't be elegant, either?
How can conditions sensibly be described as "not previously there", when they're applied to something I've made up? Penn & Teller's clear cups didn't have handles, so your sarcasm is more nonsense.

1. Assumes facts not in evidence.
You don't state what facts.

The fact that you . . . contradict yourself and create strawmen and move the goalposts . . .
Again, no specifics.

I did explain it.
You were careful not to write anything of much use. Often, you just ignore a question. You're mainly just throwing out empty criticism.

Skippy, I have been a member of this forum from the very beginning and in all that time I have called only one other member a liar. I am now going to double that number.

You are a liar.

In my last response I quoted the parts to which I was referring, yet you claim I don't state what facts.

You say I "often" ignore a question. Name one. Just one, skipjack.

You say I "often" ignore a question.
I meant to say "point" rather than question, as I've explicitly asked a question only occasionally. Various points I've made have been ignored by yourself and others. However, I've given an example of a question below.

Name one. Just one, skipjack.
Here's one: "Do you seriously think their wasn't a proper stairway to that floor which Derren's assistants could use?"

Then you should also know how to avoid such typos (and spelling mistakes).

I've been posting on this thread for the last 14 pages, and I don't think I've had any typos or spelling mistakes, except the Ignorance one... at least you had not said anything about it. And now the second you saw one small typo that I had, you are putting me down about it? You asked me earlier "Can't you spell?" even though you'd seen all along that I can spell very well.

It's like you were waiting all this time for me to finally make a typo so you could complain about it.. which is the way a little child would act.

You are a big disgrace to this community, I hope someone here will be smart enough to ban you.

As that question is directed to Garrete I won't answer it.But what relevance is it to anything?! For crying out loud skippy do you have some kind of illness that forbids you from understanding a simple concept? Russian Roulette is an illusion. Its unlikely it was a real gun or bullets, but then assistants don't really get saw in half either. It was a trick.Assistants running in,duplicate guns, edits etc. is just lunacy from you.

You are boring.Official.

So I haven't avoided questions you have asked of me.

So I am responsible for the actions/inactions of others?

It was not addressed to me; it was addressed to Azrael 5.

I am hardly a perfect poster or debater, and I quite frequently make errors, but I prefer to be accused only of those errors I actually make, skipjack. If this were your only error I would be inclined to let it go, but your behavior in this thread and the manner in which you broaden your accusation indicates it is a knowing error.

I love it when a grammar nazi like skipjack shows up. They love to point out trivial spelling or grammar mistakes by others as a means of increasing their own low self-esteem.

Then they go on to make a simple mistake like using "their" instead of "there" in a sentence. My 10 year old had these exact two words (along with they're) as homework last week.

People who live in in glass houses...

Since I have Skippy on ignore I didn't see this until Garrette quoted it. Not surprising that around the same time Skippy has been attacking DJM about a spelling/typo that he blows off his own mistake with a "well, gee, I meant to say".

I think that mistake is much worse than what I had awhile ago, as it's more than just a simple typo. Pretty pathetic to see how much of a hypocrite he is.

Such an illusion should look real, and certainly not have the key event (pulling the trigger and apparently firing a round at sandbags) taking place out of camera shot. The camera switch used was pointless, and wasn't done for the earlier occasion when Derren attempted to fire at the sandbags. If there wasn't editing, why have so many opportunities for it? Duplicate props are used in some effects; "lunacy" is just your invention, not backed by reason.

Give me an example of where duplicate props are used. You tell us skipjack why there would need to be an edit? A sensible answer wold be good.

I didn't invent lunacy sadly.Claims of edits and assistants running in to swap guns is lunacy by definition.
Broken record.Broken record.Broken record.

In fact, there have been others. You can reread them to check.

Skippy caught lying again?
No, lying means intentional deception, which wasn't the case.

How do you acount for 14 pages without any mention of typos or spelling errors, then? I've not objected to grammar at all.

Give me an example of where duplicate props are used.
Obviously, "duplicate" props are used for "torn and restored" effects.

You tell us skipjack why there would need to be an edit.
Why? My point was that if edits are not needed, frequent changes of camera, especially at key moments, should be avoided.

Claims of edits and assistants running in to swap guns is lunacy by definition.

There were opportunities for editing which were unnecessary (unless the trick relied on editing). One such opportunity arose because the camera used was one which wouldn't show the gun or Derren's hand at the key moment. Another camera, giving a better view, had been used shortly before. I didn't claim editing was definitely used, just that it was possible. I never claimed that an assistant ran in to swap guns. That's your invention.

Skippy, not only did you write "their" instead of "there", which is a mistake that a child would do, you copied the quote with that mistake to this page without even correcting it. Which probably means that you have misread that word a couple of times.

So you are the last person on this board who should complain about other people's mistakes. And I doubt that any of my mistakes have been as major as yours, like writing a completely different word than the one that I intended.

Like I said, you are a big hypocrite.. among other things.

skippy what you fail to grasp is that the gun going slightly off screen has no bearing on the illusion. As only you in the whole world has mentioned it, online at least.

I don't believe that shot was deliberately obtusive.Unlike you who is.
A playing card isn't a prop.Try harder next time.

*edit* I never claimed that an assistant ran in to swap guns. That's your invention.

I'm relying on memory here, and I aren't trawling thorugh the whole thread for the quote, but you did.You claimed he was hiding out of shot having come in through a different doorway.

Get your story straight.
Please make your mind up,initially you were claiming fake ammuntion. Now if it's fake ammo it doesn't need edits.Ditto fake gun.
