On my moral scale, Dobson rates marginally (and it's a very slim one) better than Ted Bundy. You don't have to kill over a dozen women to be beneath human contempt.

Is English your primary language? I'm not being rude here; I'm really curious. I ask because you seem to have trouble parsing others' sentences.

In case you did parse it correctly, and just ignored my argument: history is littered with killers who did what they did because they were 'inspired' by the Bible. Which is curious. Why is it that Bundy blamed 'porn' (which is what exactly? "I know it when I see it"?), while countless theistic killers throughout history were 'inspired' by the Bible?

You'd think that they didn't believe they did anything wrong.
 
Did anyone notice that Ipods are not technically wireless devices, as you need to use wired connectivity to get content. the issue here is then that the kids might have access to a computer and put videos onto their ipods from the computer. He should speak out against computers if anyhting.

And what makes the psychological conditions of porn "addiction" any worse than the psychological conditions of addiction to religion?

"Addiction" to pornography is relatively victimless unless you're considering the emotional shock of a wife walking in on her husband while he's clicking links on chunkysluts.com with one hand. And she actually believed that he kept that bottle of lotion by the computer for his dry hands. :)

I love it when someone figures out that some new technology CAN, potentially, be used for some bad purpose or whatnot.

I'll do them one better. We need to stop using these "knives" because creative use can result in someone's death.

Being addicted to pornography or sex doesn't consititute being a killer. It was a cop out. For instance... people with bipolor disorder are more likely to "need" sex during a manic phase. Using your logic Doc all people with bipolor disorder should going on murderous rampages during manic phases.

Well this site says a study found 200,000 Americans addicted to porn in 2000. Many many people have gotten their first computer since then including myself, so the number has to be much higher now. And that's just the U.S. which has only about 6% of the world's population. So if we're conservative and only multiply that number by 10, that's at least 2 million worldwide.

Seriously. Do you have a problem parsing other people's posts? You're clearly getting words out of them to respond to, but you don't seem to understand that other posters are making an argument when they post.

Do you understand that they are making a logical argument? Do you understand that you are not actually responding to the arguments?
