"Evolution isn't science"

What verse? and I don't know wasn't an option I will help you out..the answer was yes

"I don't know" is always an option for those who seeks greater knowledge. I consider myself within that group. If you do not, then "I don't know" is not an option for you.

As for the verse, let's use this one, for starters:

Titus 2:9 -- "Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;"

Q: Does "servant" in the above quote include slaves?

You can go now.

We can all read for ourselves. We don't need you to repost.

Have a nice life.
Wow nice childish move...if you don't do or say what I like you have to go home...lol

Let's keep the theology of the death/murder/suicide/sacrifice off of this thread. We can all go read St. Augustine and get back to it on a different thread. The fact that it has to be twisted and massaged A LOT to get it to make sense and the fact that it somehow touches the hearts of billions has nothing to do with evolution. Many people accept evolution and still accept the idea that Jesus died for our sins.

I don't think so ... I think it means helper...he is a definition

You still have yet to address the meat of my point which is the absence of a universal genetic bottlenecking of terrestrial species. This, along with the lack of a global flood layer, is a big nail in the coffin of the idea of the noah story being litterally true.

Not at all. I am merely pointing out that you are surplus to requirements.

If the sole of what you are going to post simply consists of banging out every argument on that site without any attempt at discourse then it seems rather pointless of you to stay. We all have the URL now. You don't need to replicate an entire website.

Q: So, you agree that you don't "know" for a certainty what the term "servant" means in Titus 2:9 (Y/N)?

Jesus_freak,

Do you think you can be convinced of evolution while retaining your faith in God?

If not, maybe it would be wiser to discuss why God (doesn't) exist in general, and not specifically in evolution.

SOOOOO....Your source for no flood is that there is no source?...Is that correct?

Except that we do know that there was a massive flood (actually several) during the ice age that left several interesting geological formations in Pacfific Northwest:

This stuff on Lake Missoula and the Channeled Scablands is much more fascinating and interesting than the Noah flood.

By the way if you visit http://www.washington.edu/burkemuseum/ , you will get an explanation of the floods... PLUS see the giant sloth shaped cave that was made during a volcanic eruption. You should come in a couple of weeks for Dino Day.

At this point I'm curious -- what are we trying to accomplish here? Are we trying to change JF's mind? Educate him? By now, we can see this is futile, as it is clear that (and I say this in all seriousness) he is either mentally ill, or deeply and profoundly stupid, as evidenced by his inability to either comprehend our points, or acknowledge his many errors after they have been pointed out.

The only other thing that I can figure is that we're making sport out of toying with an inadequate intellect. Isn't this just cruelty on our part?

Aw, to hell with that. Schadenfreude is frakkin' FUN.

1)Are humans still evolving? (Y/N)

By all indecations, yes.

2)Did life begin from a pre-biotic soup? (Y/N)
What the frack is a "pre-biotic soup?" I assume you're talking about abiogenesis? Well, guess what? ABIOGENESIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EVOLUTION. Evolution has to do with the origin of species (just like the title of the books says), not life itself.

Do I need to use smaller words for your sake, freak?

3)Was Nebraska man created from one tooth?(Y/N)

No.

Source: http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CC/CC002.html

The tooth was never held in high regard by scientists. Osborn, who described it, was unsure whether it came from a hominid or from another kind of ape, and others were skeptical that it even belonged to a primate. The illustration was done for a popular publication and was clearly labeled as highly imaginative.

Nebraska Man is an example of science working well. An intriguing discovery was made that could have important implications. The discoverer announced the discovery and sent casts of it to several other experts. Scientists were initially skeptical. More evidence was gathered, ultimately showing that the initial interpretation was wrong. Finally, a retraction was prominently published.
There, you see, "science working well." Scientists, not Bible-wielding morons, analyzed the tooth, found that it was not what it was initially claimed to be, and discount it.

Pity we can't say the same for your religion.

4)Do you like me ?(Y/N)

You REALLY don't want me to answer that question.

Large bones in stone graves in Williamson County and White County, Tennessee. Discovered in the early 1800s, the average stature of these giants was 7 feet tall.

...

Where are those bones now?

Also, this is a list of abstracts from a publication called "Tennessee Anthropologist":
http://www.mtsu.edu/~kesmith/TNARCH/Publications/TAAAbstracts.html

Do any of those have anything to do with giant humans?

You need to find an anthropology or archeology publication cite about your giant humans. Could you do that for us please?

Oh, as far has humans evolving... Can you digest milk, or are you lactose intolerant? Apparently the ability to digest cow milk past toddler hood is an evolutionary change that coincided with the domestication of cattle:

What is also very interesting is the association with sickle-cell anemia and malaria: http://sickle.bwh.harvard.edu/malaria_sickle.html

Boy those are tough ones but I will say Y to all of them now answer mine please.

1) Yes, humans are still evolving. Go to any historical museum that shows the real clothing of a couple of centuries ago and tell us if you can fit into them. If you go to Europe and check out the full knights of armor you will be freaked at how small they are. Since children are no longer dying so frequently from disease, and those with chronic conditions like cystic fibrosis and diabetes live much longer --- there could be changes in the future that may not be wanted (see the link I gave earlier on sickle-cell anemia).

2) I don't know, since I am a structural engineer not a biologist. Nor do I care... I just find lots of the stuff on history, geology, and past stuff interesting. Especially how some things influence other things (like stuff that is described in Guns, Germs and Steel). I find them much more interesting than made up stuff like fairy tales (unless you compare tales from different societies, like flood stories), psychics, homeopathy, etc.

3) False... it is explained here: http://kjmatthews.users.btopenworld.com/cult_archaeology/creationism_5.html (by the way, that whole site is interesting).

4) I don't know you, nor do I care about your beliefs. I just find it amusing to read this thread.

No since Christ came we are under a new covenant.

My turn...
1) when the blood of a freshly killed seal at McMurdo Sound in the Antartic was tested with carbon-14 did it show the seal had died 1,300 years later?(y/N)

You'll need to cite proof that scientists don't understand this and take it into account when they perform carbon dating on various samples. In fact scientists at McMurdo where this seal in question was tested understand completely why these animals show the results they do. They also understand when to take these differences into account to improve the accuracy of the tests.

As far as I know, growth is associated with nutrition and sickness. Thus if there is better health care and quality of food these days people should also be larger. So this might not be a good example.

Ah, true... but I read sometime ago that the Dutch were now the world's tallest people, and someone reasoned it was because of all the dairy products they consumed. Which may have something to do with the "Follow the Herd" link in the Nature Genetics article!
