Silly Green Monkey
Cowardly Lurking in the Shadows of Greatness
How strange---I kept hearing that Riker was a ripoff of Kirk and Spock had been split into Deanna and Data.
I see it as a little bit like the Western Front in WWI - two sides, each entrenched in their respective positions.I love the way this thread is careening madly through topics.

Heavy artillery from both sides is ongoing and casualties are limited to forays and charges by suicidal types like CanadianMalcontent and Kathy.
When is the last post with a bumper sticker? I'll suggest one for Star Trek fans. It is a beer commercial bumper sticker.**GASP**
You dare to come into a room full of people, talk about the philosophy of Star Trek, then say that! Begone! And wash your bleeding mouth out while you're at it!
To admit that is to negate all of the philosophical issues ever covered on ANY of the Star Trek generations. There is only one philosophy of Star Trek, humbly but accurately continued by Lt Cdr Data in STTNG, that of Mr Spock - the One True Philosophy of Star Trek!TM Beware, my phaser is set to "kill".
Excuse me? Why would you say such a thing? Suicide is not a polite subject to bring up in any environment. Boy did you strike a nerve. I really could start a whole thread concerning suide but it isn't anything anyone wants to discuss.
I just want to know why it appears more and more people really are becoming suicidal? Do you want to know what I think.....Satan and his demons are running out of time, so they are working overtime on people. It's really not okay! Just this last year our little town we had two teens that blew themselves away and no one had a clue they were suicidal.
My heart really cries out to God for these pour souls that feel life is just so crummy they have to end theirs.
Very nice! When is the last post with a bumper sticker? I'll suggest one for Star Trek fans. It is a beer commercial bumper sticker.

Interesting stereotype you have there, Paul, and an unfortunate generalization. Perhaps you might try communities where the kurious kathy posters are rare.I have found, so far, that the religious that show up on most forums have a very low to none understanding of science. Science takes a lot of time and effort to learn, and anybody that has studied by and large understands this. They watch too many old sci-fi moves of the lone mad scientist, and haven’t a clue to how most research is done and the effect that it takes to come up with a theory and that a theory can be shot down at anytime when it as been found to be wrong. I think and maybe not, Einstein said, and I paragraph, “Nothing can prove me to be absolutely right, but anything can prove me wrong”.

the usual brief from Wiki said:Gregor Johann Mendel (July 20[1], 1822 – January 6, 1884) was an Augustinian abbot who is often called the "father of modern genetics" for his study of the inheritance of traits in pea plants
Oh yeah, he'll help.My heart really cries out to God for these pour souls that feel life is just so crummy they have to end theirs.
CM, as you may have guessed, has been sent packing.Think about that for a while before you blurt things out...
This is what I said the other day, any list of human achievers is going to be dominated by christians, just on the weight of numbers, plus christians hold a couple of trump cards - Winston Churchill and FDR.Interesting stereotype you have there, Paul, and an unfortunate generalization. Perhaps you might try communities where the kurious kathy posters are rare.
Gregor Mendel was a monk. That would be a Christian monk.

I see the concept of metaphor has escaped you...
Using the topic of suicide for even a metephor is inappropriate in my opinion.
and you're opinion is so highly esteemed here...![]()
Mate!?! You like that crap? Are you a Foster's fan?
You have good taste.

Don't try to tell me, or anyone, how or when to post. You have neither the authority, nor the right. Open forum, free for all. That's the arena we are playing in.
Everything has a humorous side, Kathy. My mom laughed at her own cancer. Lighten up.Using the topic of suicide for even a metephor is inappropriate in my opinion.
Fosters is wimpy, weak kangaroo piss without anything you could reasonably call a taste. Are you a Foster's fan?
You have good taste.
