David Ray Griffin who has books with just hearsay? Did I miss something, or are his books just hearsay support for his conclusions which he never makes because they may of happened.

See, Jessica, we won't have to. You seem to think that if LCFC goes 'global' that all of a sudden a huge surge will happen within this little movement of yours.

I disagree. I think that the majority of the folks that are susceptible to this trash have already been taken in. If the google version of Loose Change is any indication (how many viewings/downloads?), I think it's safe to say that the "Truth Movement" has come close to critical mass. Who else is there to 'convert'? Whose eyes have not yet been opened?

I think up until now, there are plenty of intelligent folks and experts who have not addressed this nonsense simply because it's just not worth the time and aggrivation. Why haven't thousands of scientists written articles debunking the existance of bigfoot? The simple answer is because it's just not worth it. Most intelligent people realize that the evidence for bigfoot is extremely slim (bordering on non-existant), so why even bother debunking something that only a fringe of the population believes anyhow?

However, if Loose Change IS released, I think you can expect to see plenty of these same folks (engineers, controlled demo experts, etc) who have been completely uninterested in responding to this hogwash up until now come to the table. I think that if LCFC hits the theaters and receives any amount of press what-so-ever, the only people getting more vocal will be those on the other side of the equation - the experts and the debunkers.

Sure, there'll be a small increase in the number of P'dohs, but I still think the vocal supporters of a conspiracy have reached their critical mass, and the only people awakened by a release of LC will be the experts who up until now have seen it as a complete waste of time to debunk.

I for one would love to see LCFC in the theaters. I think the truth movement will grind to a halt if this ever happens, leading to the 9/11 Conspiracy falling into a nice little niche right beside faked moon-landings and JFk.

Bring it on. I look forward to it.

(As for Dylan being a 'great film maker', that remains to be seen. So far, his only film is popular because of it's controversial subject. It is not a great film by any stretch. It's not even a great documentary. It's video-plagarism with a beat you can't dance to.)

wrt to "Debunking" the rescue workers:

As has been said before, everyone is entitled to their opinion. You are, I am, they are.

They are not engineers, they are not demolition experts, nor am I.

When I state that I think this or that happened wrt 9/11 you can call me on it. If I then present evidence from experts in the field proving my point, than my point gains strength in the majority of sane individuals eyes.

If I encountered these rescue workers, and dont get me wrong, I respect what they do, I would still demand proof of their claims. If none was provided, their opinions would remain that, the opinion of an unqualified individual. Now if a Demolition Expert, or engineer, reads NIST, and finds that it is fraudulent, and he were to explain how it is so, than this I would take as serious evidence...so far, none have done so.

So in the end, what I am saying, is to ask someone to "DEBUNK" someone's opinion is a nonsense request to begin with, as you cannot "Debunk" an opinion. Because it is subjective, it is also very weak evidence on its own.

Actually I home LC does get released into the main stream; I would love to see the thorough public debunking it would receive from the science, engineering, and demolitions community at large. If LC is the best the troothers can offer, and it get totally demolished, controlled or otherwise, well :D

That, and it would be fun to see a Discovery Channel debunking of LC that featured Gravy, MarkyX, Abby, etc..

All laughing aside, I am curious to see Dylan actually "direct". The previous versions of LC were nothing but others peoples footage, still photos, etc., that he had nothing to do with. Sure, he strung them all together, wrote the "script", and provided the voiceover (which IMO, was right on par with water-boarding), but he didn't direct a damn thing.

The only other "work" of his that I've seen was his friend's rap video, which in all honesty, was just downright laughable.

From the preview, it seems as though LCFC will have a fair share of interviews in it. It'll be interesting to see how he "directs" what should just be a Q&A.
 
I agree. Dylan is at most, a below average editor, and horrible narrator. He has "directed" nothing in LC, that I can see, unless you count..

"Yo Jason, zoom in on that crying woman over there. I am gonna go tell her that BUSH killed her son."

...as directing.

I must ask, what difference will it make to you? There is quite a bit of actual research out there now by appropriate scientists. You reject all of this in favor of opinions by philosophers and theologians. When will even one of the CT scientists (term used in the loosest possible way) have the guts to publish something (not in a fruitcake journal or a CT book, but a real academic journal that could deal with the topic)? Why not simply get a headstart and reject the NIST findings now, I think its reasonable to assume they are not going to back your views.

In 'The New Pearl Harbor,' he says the fires in WTC2 were small and there were no raging infernos. In '102 Minutes,' you have people on the 105th floor calling out after 9:22 to say that their floor is falling down; people calling from floor 106 confirm that. Hmmm. Wonder how a floor can fall down just from smoke... funny how a small little fire down on floors 78-84 could make a truss 20 floors above it collapse....very odd. Oh, but wait -- maybe the fires actually got up that high? But wouldn't that involve some variation on the concept of 'inferno'... but Griffin says NO and Griffin must be RIGHT, he's a scholar!....

But... maybe Griffin was LYING?? That could explain it... What a guy.

Then a little later, Griffin says something like, 'but even IF there were big fires, they couldn't have caused the collapse.' I guess Griffin likes to have it both ways.

I also can't stand how he says the word 'evidence' (ev-EE-DENSE). Maybe it's a Freudian slip.

I think he's either deliberately lying or colossally stupid. Doesn't really matter -- in the end, the result is the same: he leads good people astray with his misrepresentations, and that upsets me.

What I find funny is that the JREF allows people from LC over here. We wouldn't even think of banning them. They're entitled to their opinions, and this is an open forum.

But as soon as the LC forum finds out you're a member here, you're banned. People who censor speech are afraid of what will be said. Ask yourself why.

This changed since the old LCF-Meltdown. They are still
sceptic but i had no problems so far... And as far i know
no one has been banned till now.
