Sounds like you have a whole lot of hatred in your life, Killtown. I gently suggest that you step away from your computer for a while, stop looking for evil in everything you see, stop accusing innocent people of all manner of crimes and bad behaviour, stop viewing the world through conspiracy tinted glasses, and try to enjoy life for a while.

Seriously.

Here are some suggestions. Go to a movie, take a girl on a date, visit relatives that don't live with you, go to a concert, take up a hobby, go skydiving, travel to some place you've always wanted to see, read a good book, enrol in courses that you might enjoy, go swimming, build a bonfire, get a pet, or do something else that brings some joy to your life.

But for the love of all that is decent, stop being so hate filled, stop being so hateful to complete strangers, and stop accusing by insinuation innocent people of crimes.

And apologize to Ms. McClatchey while you're at it. You'll be a better person for it.

I'm saddened that Russell, whom I think is an otherwise intelligent debater, can stoop to the tried-and-true tactic of throwing out dozens of bits of conjecture, half truths, irrelevancies, and easily explained coincidences and expecting them en masse to be considered evidence of conspiracy.

I realize he is outnumbered, but unless he stops right now, picks perhaps one of us, and starts at number 1 and answers the rebuttals to it, goes to number 2 and answers the rebuttals to it, and so on, he is simply just another CT using standard CT shotgun 'lots of mud on the wall hope something sticks' tactics.

Seriously, this is the weakest motive yet by the CTists for the gov't pulling off 9/11. If all we wanted was the pipeline, it could have been easily done while leaving the Taliban in power.

you have not researched the massive effort they put forth for the pipeline, going back to 95-98....(98 was when they said no, then became the most evil people on earth)

im not saying it was total motive for 9/11, but you are making it seem like it was no big deal.. they wanted into afghanistan like you wouldnt believe...i dont think you have looked into that enough..

From what I've read of him, he is still a cut above the rank and file LC forum crowd. Certainly more Brumsens level than JDX or TS1234.
 
My understanding is that there were negotiations re. the pipeline up until 2001 - http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2002/06/05/memo/index.html. There were a range of other negotiations too - around Bin Laden, for example - that may have played a bigger part in the US antipathy towards the Taliban http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB97/index3.htm

If the US 'wanted' Afghanistan so much, they've done a pretty poor job of 'taking' it. If this was so important to the Bush administration, why didn't they commit more ground troops? As WildCat suggests, the pipeline could have been built with the Taliban in power (if they had been made a sufficiently appealing offer); this would have been a lot easier than trying to deal with the mess of Northern Alliance warlords, insurgent fighters etc. that are currently active in Afghanistan.

QALAT, Afghanistan — Senator Frist said yesterday that the Afghan guerrilla war can never be won militarily and called for efforts to bring the Taliban and their supporters into the Afghan government. The Tennessee Republican said he had learned that Taliban fighters were too numerous and had too much popular support to be defeated by military means.

"You need to bring them into a more transparent type of government," Mr. Frist said during a brief visit to an American and Romanian military base in the southern Taliban stronghold of Qalat. Mr. Frist said asking the Taliban to join the government was a decision to be made by President Karzai.

well, i cant speak for everyone there, but, this story revolves around the same names...some people in the "truth movement" use ingtv to debunk AJ, and LC...and this same person was the "golden child" anyone who talked back to this person was banned by dylan himself, this "golden child" was ALWAYS aloud access even after banning, even after declaring war on the LC board...so the other global mods got the hell out of there, i stayed, i was holding my judgment till i got some more info..next thing you know, the board is down, and not so much as a word from anyone..no mass email, keeping in mind we / i spent HUNDREDS of hours online moderating dylans board, as im sure alot of YOU already know....so no warning, no email, i think i deserved better then that.. anyway, killtown, did you help dylan "clean up the boards"?
