That's a good thing. I wouldn't recommend anyone major at the undergraduate level in anything as specialized as evolution. Dozens of other narrow majors like that should vanish from the list too.
One of them, Lawrence M. Krauss, a physicist at Case Western Reserve University, said he learned about it from someone at the Department of Education, who got in touch with him after his essay on the necessity of teaching evolution appeared in The New York Times on Aug. 15. Dr. Krauss would not name his source, who he said was concerned about being publicly identified as having drawn attention to the matter.
And not a few overly general ones, too. "Women's Studies," anyone? That's a good thing. I wouldn't recommend anyone major at the undergraduate level in anything as specialized as evolution. Dozens of other narrow majors like that should vanish from the list too.

I dunno.. study women? I've been studying them for years, but I don't think I've learned a damned thing...I've always wondered, what exactly does one with a degree in Women's Studies do after graduating? My neice has a BA in it but returned to college for another BA in communciations. She pretty much had to start all over.
Any clues, anyone?

Dr. Krauss said: “Removing that one major is not going to make the nation stupid, but if this really was removed, specifically removed, then I see it as part of a pattern to put ideology over knowledge. And, especially in the Department of Education, that should be abhorred.
Bush voters got one of their own in power.Removing that one major is not going to make the nation stupid, it will just highlight how stupid too much of the nation is already.

Just because you know nothing about it doesn't mean it isn't worth studying.
