I'm certain Trump will pass away before he is held to account for anything he's done.
Also, Republicans will try to rewrite history about Trump and either claim he was the greatest POTUS of all time, or that he wasn't that bad but that none of them actually supported him.

I doubt Trump will face legal consequences. Giving the amount of legal maneuvering there will be in putting an ex US President on trial, he will be will probably be pushing up daisies before being in court.
And, depending on your opinion of the afterlife, maybe facing another judge....

We live very much in a mirror image of the times a hundred years ago, with the extremely rich and powerful people being completely beyond any legal accountability.
It, on a completely unrelated note, a time of an unprecedented (or surpassed) number of assassinations.

Moving on from the death, say 20 years, what will the high school text on Donald Trump have as a heading?
1. They are eating our cats and dogs
2. Caps Lock Diplomacy: Governing a Superpower One 'Covfefe' at a Time
3. "Sharpies and Storms: Redrawing the Maps of American Foreign and Domestic Policy"

last two are AI

This is what makes his common-man populist BS so infuriating. He's never suffered a day in his life.
Oh, he has suffered, but not a way the average guy suffers. he is still upset over not being allowed to buy an NFL team. IMHO the NFL showed excellent judgement of charecter in not letting him in.

And Trump has always been the absolute boss. All of his companies are private companies, not public ones (and public in this regars has nothng to do with government owning part of it) has never had to deal with a Board of Directorsm and has always donw whatever he wants. Worse, he thinks he is infallible and incapable of mistkaes. At the age of 80, he has never really grown up.

Trump has never had to face the consequences of his actions, the nearest was one of his bankruptcies when the banks put him on a personal allowance of $450,000 a month.

He's the living embodiment of "If you owe the bank $10,000 and you can't pay it back, you have a problem. If you owe the bank $1,000,0000,0000 and you can't pay it back, they have a problem"
