Did you believe him? If not, why is what he said relevant here? He isn't part of this discussion.Take it up with Trump, buddy. I didn't make the statement.

Sure it is. That's the whole point of this forum: to talk about what we think. This isn't the Trump forum, is it? Furthermore, I didn't ask what Trump thinks, I asked what people here think.what I think isn't really relevant.
His statement apparently says that. No, it does not make me think that because it makes no sense.Does his statement actually make you think that?
I think that what Trump and his supporters think is (sadly) important.Sure it is. That's the whole point of this forum: to talk about what we think. This isn't the Trump forum, is it? Furthermore, I didn't ask what Trump thinks, I asked what people here think.
Perhaps, but that still wasn't what I was asking.I think that what Trump and his supporters think is (sadly) important.
Which is a lie. Insurance costs for tankers transiting the Strait are approaching the value of the cargo, I think.Slightly disagree.
It is a boon to Trump’s lie that diesel shortages and current high costs are because of Ukraine attacks on Russia and not U.S. attacks on Iran/restrictions in Strait of Hormuz.
Sure, and I think that those continously defending Trump for, among other things, being tough on terrorist nations like Iran need to wring themselves in ever more convoluted knots as he sucks up to the biggest terrorist of them all.Sure it is. That's the whole point of this forum: to talk about what we think. This isn't the Trump forum, is it? Furthermore, I didn't ask what Trump thinks, I asked what people here think.
You know that morally Trump is totally corrupt, whatever the practicalities of the deal are.Q
If they can't export diesel because they're short of it, then they won't, so allowing them to do what they're not capable of doing won't make any difference. If they can export diesel but they don't have enough for domestic supply, then exporting what they need is going to cripple them.
I wondered if i was missing something. He said he had done some marvellous deal with Putin, where Russia would sell diesel onto the world market and that would reduce the price for American consumers. But Russia already does that. And the amount they've allegedly promised to export is actually less than they presently do, and that's already down 80+ percent on how much they used to export before they FAFO'd with Ukraine.I mean, it’s Trump.
So of course these are lies.
In Kosmichnyi, the most heavily bombarded district of Zaporizhzhia, children play at a park. When the buzzing of a drone fills the air, one of them yells, «It’s a Shahed!» and they run to hide under the trees.
Among them is six-year-old Veronika Didenko, who sits calmly on a picnic mat. «I got used to it,» she told the Kyiv Independent, saying she is not scared of the explosions. She first learned about the war at age three and can now tell apart the sounds of FPV drones, Shaheds, and glide bombs.
One of my dad's first memories was his mother throwing herself on top of him when a V1 (he called it a buzz bomb in that context) crashed and exploded near him when he was 2. He didn't mention it much, maybe a couple of times in my life.
The POSOTUS is now funding the Russian war machine! I think we can all agree he is a douchebag of the highest order.Russian fuel for the USA!
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel.
Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!
Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority.
This is a very big and important announcement.
Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon!
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
President DONALD J. TRUMP
I assume that Trump's nannies are explaining to him that diesel, being a fungible commodity, will go down in price depending upon how much is on the global market. So it doesn't actually have to be sold to America itself. Only to those who would otherwise want to buy the diesel that Americans would want and thus driving up prices. And of course, there is no point in Trump making an announcement saying he would make things cheaper for the rest of the world without him saying that it would help Americans.Trump does explictly mention "the American and Global Market"

It looks as if President Trump and President Putin might have averted an imminent worldwide diesel crisis with its resultant catastrophic effects on our economy and living standards.
Russia are to release 300 000 tonnes of diesel immediately onto world markets with another 500 000 tonnes for November.
All this from the country we have been firing our Storm-shadow missiles at from Ukraine for the last 3 years and our leaders tell us are about to invade us at any moment.
Wake up people.
