UK claims to have foiled 'terrorist' plot against airbase

Ben Leo
@Benleo
The UK government needs to come clean about what’s going on here. Their response so far has been shameful.

It’s now being suggested there could be Iranian drones in the UK which were set to target US bombers at RAF Fairford.

Everything else should be dropped. This is serious.

Yes, Ben, what you say must be true and not utter bollox! And it is almost certainly why the "Iranian agents" involved were let out on bail and not jailed immediately.

US President Donald Trump has said the United States moved its bombers out of RAF Fairford because of "some threats" to the base.

The Pentagon confirmed on Sunday it had removed its bombers - thought to be about a dozen B-1s - from the base back to their home stations in America.

Speaking to reporters as he departed for Nebraska on Monday, Trump said the US knew of a "threat", which led them to move the bombers...

While speaking to a gaggle of reporters outside the White House in Washington, Trump was asked if there was a "specific threat" that led the US to pull it's bombers from the airbase.

Trump replied: "Yeah I think we can say that. They didn't fly out by accident.

"There were some threats. And rather than tempting the enemy, we'll capture the enemy and beat the enemy. But why should we leave them there? So we moved them around a little bit. Not very far."

He added that Washington "actually knows the people that made the threat", but did not confirm who...

Are these the same "threats" that had you cowering in a food truck a few months ago Donnie?

I swear, the man is afraid of his own shadow.

relocating the bombers back to the US will substantially eat into their lifespan and that of the refueling tankers in any future mission.
Even a successful war costs planes just from usage, and this has not been a successful war.

I don't know if keeping the B1s at Fairford would still be useful. Neither do you. I also don't know when or why the decision was made to remove them. Neither do you.
Although we don't know when or why the decision was made, we do know Pentagon sources told us, on the day before @Ziggurat wrote that, why the decision was made.

I really don't know. It's possible that this move was prompted by security concerns from this incident. It's also possible that this withdrawal was planned beforehand. It's also possible that that the withdrawal was planned beforehand but accelerated because of this incident. But it's all just speculation, and none of it is really informed speculation either.
@Ziggurat may well have been correct when he assumed President Trump's explanation of the withdrawal was mere speculation, and not really informed speculation either.

In other words, it looks like Trump, his minions and his sycophants are linking the relocation (pre-panned or not) of the planes and the "Vangate" to justify bashing the UK, NATO, the EU over their supposed leniency towards islamists/Iran …

A seventh arrest. British national, 22, from Westminster. And I almost overlooked it but the statement came from counter-terrorism police.

It could be as much a terrorist arrest as the arrest of the man who blew up the ULEZ camera. It is under terrorist legislation, but he is not part of a terrorist organisation.

Sure Ben.

The story grows with every retelling.

The allegation is extraordinary.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards reportedly recruited British nationals for a Ukrainian-style drone attack on RAF Fairford, potentially backed by car bombs, with the aim of destroying American bombers and killing US personnel.
In Gloucestershire.

So is “British National” arrested the brother of Iranian embassy official ?
So is he actually Iranian born dual national?

We should be told:

How long has he been here? How did he get here? How is he a British national ?

We will not be gaslit

Nicholas Lissack
@NicholasLissack
The “British National” arrested today for the botched RAF Fairford terror attack is the brother of an Iranian embassy official.

This follows the arrests of several other men, each tied to the embassy through its jihadist recruitment program.

We are at war with Iran

Texas Our Texas
@BonnieDerk1234

Iran is trying to get is hands on a nuclear warhead and a delivery system.
An American B2 bomber provides both.
Britain better pray they haven't given access to any Muslims or liberals because the U.S. isn't playing with yall.

If Britain had given nukes to liberals I'm pretty sure they would have announced an ultimatum at their Brighton conference last month.
