The first and only time I missed a six monthly Covid booster I got my first, and so far only, dose of Covid, which was a very unpleasant experience. I've paid for them ever since.

Here's the thing (again): many members of this discussion forum are not inclined to watch videos. They are, generally, a piss-poor means of conveying fact, and more geared towards entertainment and passive viewing. Generally, a video deliverss 10-15 minutes of bull ◊◊◊◊ for every worthwhile single sentence. The written word is far superior.

Additionally, some of us dislike having to listen to audio to get the argument on this discussion forum. It's hugely annoying to have to keep forwarding and pausing videos to fact check, and to debate by referring to timestamped places in a video.

Thirdly, some of us do not wish to blast to those around us whatever the inane video is slowly bleating out, out of courtesy for others or shame that we are even wasting our time with this ◊◊◊◊. Earbuds don't solve this, because we need to be alert for other sounds (work or home related).

I mean, my brother in Christ- can you please provide a written version of whatever you are trying to convey? This is a written word forum. Make your point with the written word, and pretty please with sugar on top STOP ASKING US TO WATCH THESE INANE VIDEOS IN ORDER TO RAISE A DISCUSSION POINT.

Having my twelftyseventh covid + flu shot soon, and I am not even a little bit dead. And since I am peerless, I can't be pressured by any peers. Obviously.

If she had she probably wouldn't be dead now.

My sister-in-law didn't take the vaccine, and died of Covid related conditions, my brother did take the shot and he lived for another few years to die of a broken heart. So in effect she killed twice by not getting vaccinated.

Indeed. I talked to a Danish colleague about that and he (reluctantly) agreed

So the CTers are whining again over how there was peer pressure to follow Covid restrictions and take the vaccine. Big deal. Of course there was, we were in the midst of a pandemic that killed millions and we wanted to get through it as fast as we could with as few lives to be lost as possible. You have to be severely empathy-deficient to not understand that.

I had a brief look at the reel on Facebook. Didn't have audio on, but it was something about how certain people talked about the public? So... the typical CTer lack of self-awareness? Love it when they police other peoples' tone, while they themselves have a tendency to be the most rude, condescending people I ever encounter online. Everyone but the CTers are mindless sheep at best, evil collaborators at worst, and the CTers delight in ridiculing and deriding us. The covid pandemic also showed just how many people are utterly and completely devoid of empathy, or sympathy for people who happen to be immunocompromised, old, or otherwise at higher risk of getting sick or dying from covid. People terrified for their loved ones, or who were themselves at risk, had to listen to horrible people go on about how they didn't understand why they should follow the regulations, 'it's just the old and sick who die of covid!'. I kinda thought eugenics was something we had moved on from, but here we had a whole lot of people who'd feel right at home in the early 20th century.
