Not REALLY. Atheism is just not believing in a god. It's antitheism that thinks religion is harmful. I subscribe to the latter, for reasons best explained in a different thread, but the former only requires not believing in a god.

I fall on the former. I lack belief, but in many cases I think religion fils a necessary role in society… at least for now. Not all religions are created equal, and not all do a good job of instilling the shared values necessary for a well- functioning society… some religions are subject to more criticism than others. Maybe someday we’ll have a more robust civics syllabus embedded in our education and religions won’t be needed any more.
 
Well, I supposed that if an atheist went every Sunday to a place of worship, you might suspect they're not really atheists. But then by now there are support groups and organisations for PRIESTS and MINISTERS who stopped believing in god, and not just go to church but actually prepare and perform the service. So that's not very conclusive.

In the end, I personally think that what might actually cast a doubt over whether they've actually internalized atheism, is favouring one religion and discriminating against others, without any good evidence and good argument as to why. Like if anyone consistently hates Jesus, but consistently runs to be the first in line to plant his nose into Allah's butt, you might start to wonder if they actually are equally just against gods as a whole, or is it all just a butthurt reaction.

True. I tend to think there’s a distinction between atheist, anti-theist, and anti-{specific religion}.

MAGA voters, the 39% or so hanging on to Trump, and possibly not voting but now and then, when Trump is gone, have been described by political scientists. These people are not going to change much. Price of gas comes to a reasonable number and they move on, exit politics and do whaterver life offers. Some terms AI found for me. I just did screen shots. I can get any of the missing links that Ai gave me. I will go back to Gemini and add a few refernces after I go do tires at Costco.
