Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

This is a variation of the '400,000 NASA employees can't all have been in on it'. This is actually put forward as the ultimate proof by most people...

Straw man. 400,000 is not some critical number at which your fantasy fails. It fails as these conspiracy theories regularly do because when you look at the detail of how they could work, the number of people who have to be in on it just grown and grows exponentially until it becomes absurd.

For example your blithe assertion that the Apollo spacecraft might just have been parked in Earth orbit for the duration of the mission. The people operating the deep space network in California, Spain and Australia have to be in on it, because they're not really tracking Apollo. Whoever really is tracking Apollo has to be in on it ditto. The independent bodies in other countries who confirm they tracked Apollo at least at some part of its mission have to be in on it too. The list just keep growing at every little planning step.

Detecting deception as used by detectives is a completely different discipline based on various strategies.
"Detectives" are, in the real world, terrible at detecting untruths. They are also terrible at accepting this.
For example, a psychopath has no problem in lying and someone on ordinary medication might have their physiological reactions incorrectly interpretated accordingly, so someone applying deception detection techniques has to rule out the fact the results may not be accurate. They have to find a base line. The criminal courts expect more that a polygraph reading. Detectives need hard evidence and thus, interrogation and interview is their main focus where evidence is scant.
Irrelevant.
All psychologists say is that your body reacts to various stress situations. It doesn't evaluate intent because people can and do make conscious choices. But people do notice body language all the time.
Also irrelevant.

Eisenhower after WWII established NASA as a military arm of the USA, so yes, these were military guys used to just following orders and not asking questions. Only the top army brass would know what went on at the White House and what edicts were issued, with trade secrets, e.g., re space, certainly to be treated as trade secrets and not splashed all over the NYT. Business strategy follows similar principles. Your employees know what their roles are and the broad aims and objectives of one's business. They would not be privy to decisions made behind closed doors however, unless these were disclosed.
This is utter rubbish. Try educating yourself, starting with NACA.

The fact 400,000 people don't know about a thing not being true, doesn't ipso facto make the thing true.
But they do know the thing they built worked in the way it was contracted to work.

The designers of the Apollo A7L suits knew they met specifications and would do the job.
The seamstresses at Playtex that made the suits knew their work met specifications.

Engineers at Grumman that designed and built the Landers knew they would do the job they were designed for.

Same with the other contractors for example

North American Aviation built the Command and Service modules

Boeing, Douglas, and North American Aviation constructed the Saturn V stages

IBM built the rocket’s instrument units

Rocketdyne Developed the F-1 and J-2 engines that launched the Saturn V.

Raytheon & MIT: Designed and manufactured the crucial Apollo Guidance Computer

General Electric (GE): Managed the integration of the massive command and checkout systems.

RCA: Provided radar and communications subsystems for the Lunar Module.

Altogether over 20,000 private companies were contracted and sub contracted for Apollo.

They knew the things they were contracted to design and build would do the job they were designed for.

They knew the hardware and software being built by other contractors worked as the different items from different manufacturers all had to work together as one integrated whole.

You know the saying that you can fool a few people all of the time, and you can fool all the people a short time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.

Nevertheless, you believe, sorry, your neutral view is that everybody (except for a tiny handful of conspiracy theorists) have been fooled for three generations?

Here's the entry in the NASA Lunar Sample Catalogue for it

It's main entry and photo archive

Lying again I see.

It's almost like having "made a mistake" (aka not even doing the most cursory research on the history of NASA and NACA), being corrected extensively and accurately, then trotting out the exact same bollocks is completely accidental, rather than being in any way at all a very deliberate attempt to...I don't know what.

All I know is some facts are very, very, very easily established; failing to establish said facts once can, if one is generous, be accepted as a mistake; having been very extensively corrected (with references) and then trotting out the same absolute nonsense seems deliberate, as in intentional, as in trying to perpetuate a deception...

We must have a word for that...

Again, it's fine to question. Healthy, even. But when the question is thoroughly addressed and the misconception clarified, it gets a little pig headed to keep treating it as gospel. Weaver et al are simply wrong, at fundamental levels. And the Van Allen belts are not an insurmountable obstacle. And rooster tails do not rely on an atmosphere, and all the rest.

This stuff is basic, grade school science, that these clowns don't have much of a grasp on, and they rely on conspiracy nuts to not question THEM too much.

Yes. And part of the problem here is that Vixen is scientifically ignorant and illiterate, so she's in no position to evaluate the claims properly.

As I suggested before: it'd be like someone starting up a discussion about Finland and saying that fair weight should be given to a person who stated that Finland lies on the Equator.

Wow. Mind blown.
Mass produced for what market? Extremely expensive, extremely limited range, and the wheels probably couldn't support it's weight in earth gravity.
It was assembled by Boeing. My wife's neighbor worked on it. The Astronauts just had to pull a couple of cords to unfold it. All meticulously planned and practiced. It performed the intended task for the intended few hours.
Who the ◊◊◊◊ on Earth needs a fold-up car?

Have you ever seen an RV with a small motorbike on the back or towing a compact car? It could be like that but for people who go on holiday in their [Checks Notes].. Space Capsule.

Also, a stock LRV cost an inflation adjusted $70 million apiece to develop and manufacture. That makes it somewhat of a splurge for the recreational extraterrestrial traveller. I mean, there's public transportation available, you feel me? And adding the fuzzy dice really puts it over the top.
