And it's part of the game change that is drones in general - and interception close to the surface will always be hard.

The trend is clearly against massive ships like Carriers or the boneheaded Trump Class.

Bo that's not the trend, the countermeasures are catching up with the drones.
Effective German and British systems have already been tested with success in Ukraine and are going in to full production. You need to keep up.
 
A US missile attack on an oil tanker near Oman on Wednesday killed three Indian sailors, the Indian government confirms

The US said its aircraft hit the tanker's engine room as it transited the Gulf of Oman

The US Central Command said it fired munitions into the ship’s engine room after crew “repeatedly failed to comply” with American forces.

Manoj Yadav, general secretary of the Forward Seamen's Union of India, told The Economic Times newspaper that he "refused to believe" that the US lacked information regarding the nationalities of the people on board those ships. He said detaining the ships instead was a “viable alternative”.

Not really. Again, those things CANNOT handle waves, nor do they have a lot of range. And anti-drone defenses will get better too. Aircraft carriers will need to adapt, but they will. Because they offer capabilities that we still want and that no other platform can substitute.

It is unclear if the U.S. intentionally struck the water facilities, or knew what was in the buildings. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime under international law.

I'm guessing another Invisible Ceasefire. In the late hours before the markets close on Friday, it will be tweeted that Iran has TOTALLY SURRENDERED and agreed that the US deserves all the oil and has great manly physiques and health assessments that NO ONE CAN QUESTION!! The Straight of Hormel is OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Praise Allah!

Despite fully knowing that it's BS the markets will soar on the backs of people willing to bet their bots can beat the rubes to the dump come Monday, the most money made by "mystery investors" who bought fifteen minutes prior to the tweet.

Then a weekend of news stories pretending to be gullible to milk Iran calling BS, and a market settling early next week.

Rinse, repeat.

The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Iran warns US of 'endless quagmire' after Trump threatens to seize its oil and gas

A senior Iranian official has warned the US against being sucked into an "endless quagmire".

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's parliamentary speaker and chief negotiator, says in a post on X that "wrong strategies and impulsive decisions will reset the entire board for the worse".

He says these decisions could "explode energy infrastructure and markets", creating an "endless quagmire that you will be stuck in for years".

"You will see a different Iran," he concludes
