Merged (edited) General thoughts about Christianity and the bible

You seem uninformed about the assembly of the canon.
LMAO. I am in fact well versed on the assembly of the Bible.

You go first. You tell us how you came to accept the Bible you use. Tell me why you believe this is the word of God and other writings are heretical.

That's reality. Some people find proven facts inconvenient, but that's no excuse to ignore them. Ignorance is sometimes excusable, but willful ignorance never is.
Ignorance of YOUR view?
There are MANY supporting views which you conveniently ignore.

Yes, I would treat any other ancient book that way, if someone told me that everything in it was true, and that I must follow all its rules, or be punished. I enjoy a lot of ancient books, including parts of the bible, I like fiction and love mythology, but if someone claims they are true, I want evidence.
Amen sister!

You are "well-versed" in the canon, so you understand where it came from. (assuming you got it right) Unlikely.

I accept the work done to canonize the scriptures. Not that there aren't problems, but it is what it is.

What would suffice as evidence?
No offense intended. But this is a stupid question. I would only know post hoc.Any attempt to answer that question would be incomplete and preliminary at best.

But what is poor evidence is scripture. Especially any writing that describes supernatural events. I wouldn't believe such events if my friends or my own father told me. Just like I don't believe the idiots today that say the earth is flat and astronauts didn't land on the moon.

What work and why do you accept it?. This seems to be a deliberate attempt of yours not explain why you accept the present Bible is true.
