Assassination of United Healthcare CEO

Again: "It's not a comparison. It doesn't need a comparison. It is what it is."
Look at what the thing itself is! Why do want to compare it with something it isn't?!
yes, it absolutely has to be a comparison, because there will always be some kind of government, even if it's anarchism.
There is a difference between eating a fast-acting and a slow-acting poison.
With the latter, you might give yourself enough time to come up with an antidote.

Because we need to have some kind of political system, so comparisons between the options are very relevant.
One analyzes reality as it is to find out what it can be changed into. You don't get there by comparisons with something else – whether real or imaginary. As for the imaginary comparisons, I'm thinking of the idealized versions of representative democracy, i.e. The Great Zaganza's example:
Democracy, if executed well, will benefit different groups at various times, hopefully ensuring that no one will fall too far behind.
Utopianism never works. See the current Trump administration of the USA and compare (!) it with the idealized version from both 2016 and 2024:
Drain the swamp.Destroy the Deep State. Down with the elites.

yes, it absolutely has to be a comparison, because there will always be some kind of government, even if it's anarchism.
Then analyze what it already there. Find out exactly what's wrong with it and what it should be turned into instead.
Instead of even attempting to do that, you present an idealized version of representative democracy, which is basically a lie: What you would like to imagine that it's supposed to be instead of what it actually is.

I have not idea what this is supposed to have to do with anything.
If you're thinking of poisoning yourself or anybody else, I'm not the one to consult.
As an analogy, it should be obvious to you that the current situation is poisoning the world in a way that is far from slow-acting.

Bwhahahahahaha! You're right this time, but it's hilarious that you're saying this.
Please tell us about how you think Trump's 2016 Utopianism has worked out for you.
Many of the other cult members who F'd A back then sure have F's O at this point. The Kool-Aid has turned awfully bitter since Jan 2025.

I never suggested otherwise.
No, you just offered a convenient and irrelevant distraction.
Musk didn't buy him the election. That's not how it works.
That is how it works. However, you can only fool some of the people and only some of the time.
Neither have you.
It was clear from the get-go that you wouldn't deliver any documentation for or even probabilization of your baseless claims.

You're a communist, and you're claiming Trump is the Utopian?
Yeah, no.
Yes, I'm a communist, the Marxist kind, which is why I say: "Look at what the thing itself is!"
Comparing it with something it isn't doesn't do the trick.
MAGAts should have learned that by falling for Trump's slogans in 2016 and 2024 and then experiencing what the realization of his ideology turned out to be, but MAGAts aren't very good at learning from their mistakes. Most of them even find it impossible to openly regret those mistakes.

I really want to know how you think it works. At the most, Musk might pay for a large chunk of advertising across multiple channels. But I assume you don't believe Musk was out there writing checks to individual voters to convince them to vote for Trump?

one thing musks pac did was run an illegal rigged lottery offering voters a chance at $1m and fixed the winners. not sure that he wrote the giant cardboard checks but he did hand them out

i mean, obviously large amounts of money are really useful in influencing the outcome of elections. the ultra rich are able to spend more and have a greater influence, and in musk's case can simply break the law if it's in their interests to do so. these guys spend tons of money every year, and the last election a few individuals like musk spent hundreds of millions. particularly if it's spent wisely

i'd argue that spending on things like media capture, in which people like musk buy media platforms to amplify their views, has way more to do with winning or losing elections than whatever harris was spending her money on.
