Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

China, unlike the current US admin, has been properly preparing for this war since before the 12 day war last year - it has huge oil reserves, comfortably being able to ride out this current slowdown - and it's only a slowdown, as Iran is letting its ships through for a toll of $1-2 million apiece.

Unless you think that the US will be able to permanently stop oil going to China, this is NOT some clever plan. At best, it's a stupid one. It probably is none at all.

What is actually happening right now is that everyone, everywhere, is building up alternative energy sources, mostly solar and wind, and the batteries to store the power, as fast as they can at any price.
And where are they buying it from?
China.

looks the the $1 trillion surplus will not be a one-off.

Seriously, China has long surpassed the US where is actually matters. Time to open your eyes and face that fact.
How on earth did the CCP get it's hooks so deeply into you?

Do you have any idea how much faster China can build ships, planes, tanks, missiles and drones than the US?
They can build their paper-thin ships, non-functional plans, cardboad tanks, and wing-and-a-prayer missiles as fast as they want.

Drones... well yeah, they have reasonably good drone flight capability for civilians. They can drop hand-grenades on the US if the ranchers and farmers and recreational hunters don't shoot them out of the sky first.

you have very antiquated, entirely US-centric ideas.

The US is facing demographic collapse, as it is destryoing the most important tool for economic growth: immigration.
And tell me - why does China have such a surplus and the US does not if it's doing so poorly?

China is doing what Japan tried, only successfully- automation and robots. Listen to US Car maker CEOs and their description of automated Chinese factories. China can do the same work with far fewer people because of this.

its current economic troubles are intentionally self-inflicted to reign in a private sector that got a bit too uppity for the Party's taste.
They are temporary and reversible. China has huge cash reserves and resources. And it has made Russia its Vassal.

Betting against China has not paid off for anyone in the last couple of decades.
Are you Chinese? I ask because then there's some chance that you actually believe what you're typing.

I think you have that backwards. No Chinese person could actually believe what he's saying, they know too much. They might say it if they're on the CCP payroll, but they wouldn't believe it. You've got to be clueless about China to swallow that propaganda.

Guess we will see, won't we?

Just out of curiosity: what is the US producing that everyone will want to buy in the next decades and that others can't build better and/or cheaper?

I can accept Russia as an aggressor nation, I think Iran is more aggressed upon than aggressor, the only aggression China has done is invading Tibet. The US is far more aggressive than Russia, Iran and China combined (just count countries attacked by US military vs countries attacked by militaries of Russia, Iran and China combined).
Iran, who actively funds massive terror organizations that routinely attack western countries... is a country you consider to be the victim here?

And you think aggression comes only in the form of military power? I suppose we'll just pretend that the persistent organized data thefts, identity thefts, system infrastructure hacks, cyberattacks, and ransomware engagements over the past couple of decades are all being done by counterculture college kids.... And let's not forget to mention IP theft, industrial espionage, and counterfeiting.

Yeparoo. Iran is the victim and China is the good guys.

Iran (the ayatollahs) have clearly said WMD is sinful and Iran won't develop WMD. They wouldn't when Iraq (then a US client) attacked Iran with mass nerve gas attacks including Iranian cities, and they were clear they wouldn't make nuclear weapons. One thing about a theocracy is they do have a moral compass. Iran absolutely wouldn't want to kill everyone, that is un-Islamic.

China has demonstrated no desire to kill people, other than its own citizens. (Arguably Iran likewise has killed more of its own citizens than others). Even Russia I don't think has a significant desire to kill people, capture them maybe.

The US is responsible for 5,000,000+ deaths since 9/11. Russia, Iran, China combined don't match that. The country that seems happy to kill both its own and mostly other people is the US (particularly under Trump).
Your paper claims between 4.5M and 4.7M directly or indirectly attributable to warfare in the ME. Those are absolutely NOT all attributable to the US. The linked paper for that count is including deaths from economic collapse & food insecurity, Public Service & Health Infrastructure destruction, Environmental contamination, and a host of other things as attributable to the war.

Are you actually - with a straight face - claiming that a person in rural afghanistan who kills their neighbor for food is the fault of the US, when the taliban is the one who stole all the provisions in the village? You're laying every person that terrorists killed at the feet of the US?

"Look what you made me do. If you didn't make me so mad I wouldn't have to hit you" vibes from that.

Guess we will see, won't we?

Space launch.

But why don't you just look up what we already export. Are you expecting any of the major categories to collapse?

China's military tech has been exposed as a failure. Iranian anti-ship missiles based on Chinese tech don't work. Their anti-stealth radar doesn't work. Their stealth plane probably doesn't work either. They're purging people responsible for these programs. And you think China is winning?

It is not.

I didn't mention weapons, and if I had, I would have highlighted USA losing to a bunch of guys using 3rd world tech.

China is winning economically, but nice try to attempt to beat your chest about American superiority.

Your mob had trillions ic dollars of equipment chasing guys who literally lived in caves in Afghanistan, how much winning did you do there?

I feel like some of youse guys spend a lot of time on social media and get a lot of your information from youtube and similar. Maybe you truly don't know how much of what's out there is Chinese, ME Islamist group, and Russian propaganda.

Paper thin ships?

Do you think modern warships have armour?

It's pretty funny how a country with no interest in a navy that projects global power is being lambasted for not having a navy that projects global power.

I'm not ruling out CCP payroll. Even though it seems like they say absurd things, you've got to admit that China engages in a *LOT* of in-line propaganda action. Likely not... because ISF is kinda small and old and dull by internet standards. But it's 2026 and I'm not taking bets anymore - the world has just gotten too weird.

F-35s, JDAM missiles, Patreon systems, aircraft, technological advances, spacecraft and launch capacity, satellites, automotive parts, and a surprising amount of petroleum and crude oil.

We make most of the stuff that China counterfeits.

Space launch.

Space launch is hardly a mass market.

And the trade deficit tells you what the rest of the world wants to buy from the US compared to what it wants to buy from the world

And btw. China has more rocket launch sites and has already deployed its own starkink - it's hardly complicated technology.

To whom are we losing?

When it comes to military and economic might... we are currently at the top of the list. If you interpret that as "superior", go right ahead. At the present time, it's merely fact that the US ranks highest in those areas. At some point in time, someone else will hold that rank. That someone is unlikely to be China unless they *start* a war using nukes.

Depends what you consider winning. We did eventually kill Bin Laden.

On the other hand... over the course of 20+ years, we only killed about 2,000 civilians. And we didn't manage to enslave any females and make them property at all.
