Of course the USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort are still berthed in Alabama. I understand that their home base is San Diego and it takes 5 days to prepare for deployment from there, so not exactly "on its way"

I guess those in Military Sealift Command are hoping he'll forget about it before they have to actually do something for an imaginary crisis.

Greenland has a similar health picture to Denmark, with high vaccination rates and socialised health care. That US Navy boat is going there so the sailors on it can be treated in Greenland's hospitals, not the other way round.

The problem with that is both hospital ships - USNS Mercy and Comfort - are in Alabama Shipyard.

Mercy has been there since August and Comfort since January, so none are on the way.

Plus, they would have to load medical stores and personnel before they cam deploy.
