I'm somewhat new here. I made an account to respond to something else a few months ago, and decided today to see what this site is all about.

For this topic, I'll start by giving context about me. I've never voted until 2020. I've never registered with either Party and think Independent voter is an accurate description for me. My first time voting was in local elections, I voted for the Democrat for our Mayor (Tecklenburg). In the next and latest election, I voted for Shahid, who is also a Democrat; but he lost and there was a second runoff vote between Tecklenburg and Cogswell (Republican), and I voted for Cogswell. I've voted based on issues, not Party. For the POTUS, I voted for Trump over Kamala.

To the question of why I didn't vote for Kamala, I'm personally tired of hearing Trump did something, looking it up, and finding out it wasn't true. I've lost all trust in the media on anything Trump related. I'm tired of the double standards and chaos, and the constant "If I don't get what I want, I'll hurt myself or someone else, and it's your fault" arguments that for some reason are being treated like legitimate arguments or reasons to shift blame.

Looking up Kamala, she has zero accomplishments. Even then, the few they try to list as an accomplishment, like her being "black" (not an accomplishment) is questionable. Both Candidates had comparable experience, with Trump as 45 and Kamala as former VP, so it left very little question for me on what we could expect to see from them; and I don't see how anyone can say another 4 years of autopen leadership controlled by ?? would have been the best choice.

I'm not sure which boxes that explanation would check. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask, but "don't troll me bro."
Cool story, bro.

Hey, Wareyin! Another "independent" for your big tent!

perhaps you’d like to comment on the billions trump has stolen from the taxpayers. or the crypto stuff. selling pardons. doj and fbi actively covering up child sex trafficking rings. the election fraud stuff.

i’m just curious if you acknowledge any of that happened

You'd actually have to give specific examples if you want someone to agree or disagree with you.

Addressing your implied claims though, you are asking me why I voted and then bring up things you claim happened after I voted. This implies you have no interest in an honest discussion with me, but instead wanted to attack.

I'll also point out that the alleged "sex trafficking" goes back decades, meaning that whatever Trump may do as far as "covering up" (he's still POTUS), Biden also did, and so did Obama, and so did Clinton, and so did Bush... The big difference you are omitting is that someone like Clinton is literally listed as one of the few people we actually know was "partaking" in the Epstein Island's vices... curiously you are more bothered about Trump though, adding to the observation of dishonest intentions here; or more accurately implying Kamala would have done something different that Biden did, when most likely if we had Kamala there would be no released Epstein Files at all...

i’m just asking if you think that stuff happened or not

lol i mean, do you have a problem with with the cover up or not? i do, you can go to the epstein thread and read my comments on it going back well over a year now if you think i’m lying or something.

you’re getting all cagey about it right away, just asking what you think

The topic is why I didn't vote for Kamala. You are trying to derail the topic, which I understand is against the rules here, but I'm new; what do I know?

In general, "if you think that stuff happened or not" - again be specific, because my response already mentioned "stuff" that I portrayed as something I see as true. If I didn't think "stuff" happened, my response would have made no sense. But again, I think this is more another symptom of your dishonest intentions here.

Also, not sure how anything I wrote was "crazy", and I think this proves more that your intentions are just to attack me; pretty sure that is also against the rules here...

I'll add "trying to change the subject any time Democrat problems comes up, and then castigating others for not playing along" to the list of things Democrats did wrong.

Thank you. It's 100% a "derail" and an attempt to attack me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw it.

you said if anyone had any questions they could ask.

and how is asking if you believe those things happened an attack? lol

I'm sorry if you don't understand "context clues", but when I said if you had questions to feel free to ask, it was implied that the questions would be about the topic. That aside, you have posted several times, and still haven't even given one specific example you claim you want addressed; just "stuff"...

you described yourself and your views as an independent and how they impacted your vote, i was asking about your views on those specific topics. i don’t think that’s particularly off topic but if you don’t want to answer i understand that. there’s a bunch of specific threads for these topics that conservatives simply don’t participate in, so it’s hard to get a feel for what they think about them. so when a guy like you offers to answer a question, i ask. then i usually don’t get a response, just some anger that i brought it up.

more specific, and let’s stick with one do you have an opinion on trump’s crypto involvement?

again if it’s too much i understand.

you know, my whole thing this thread is the dems didn’t do enough to counter the vast republican propaganda network. you get a guy who says he voted trump, i ask him if he’s heard of any of this bad stuff trump was up to, and he just gets mad and refuses to answer

so i still think it’s the propaganda network

Don't let the word "stuff" distract you. @dirtywick was giving you specific examples. Billions stolen from taxpayers under the guise of "tariffs". Crypto pump-and-dump schemes. Pardons for partisan political purposes. The DOJ and FBI actively covering up the biggest child sex trafficking ring in the world (big enough to have taken down British royalty), and the constant lies about election fraud.

It's odd, because I'm new here, and I've seen several people point out that if you make a claim outside of an opinion, you have to cite a source or reference, but already in the first day there are two people who seem to legitimately think just saying something happened demands someone else takes a defensive position lol. If you think "Trump stole billions", then show me what you are talking about.

The funny thing is not only is this basic norm, but I was under the impression these forums have a higher standard, and yet here you are expecting someone to defend something that as far as anyone knows you made up, worse to justify why I voted for someone long before the claim you are making, on a thread that has nothing to do with the topic you are attempting to derail...

Show me at least $1 Billion stolen. Explain why you think pardons have ever not been political. Explain how there is a "cover up" AND to stay close to the topic explain why you think Kamala would have done better, and explain what part of "election fraud" you think is a lie.

The topic is why I didn't vote for Kamala. You are trying to derail the topic, which I understand is against the rules here, but I'm new; what do I know?

In your OP, when it came to your reasons for not voting for Kamala, you led with the following:

"To the question of why I didn't vote for Kamala, I'm personally tired of hearing Trump did something, looking it up, and finding out it wasn't true".

And then you invited questions about what you had written.

It doesn't seem terribly off topic to ask: "Tell me more about these things you've heard that Trump did, and then found out wasn't true. Are the following examples among those things?"

"Tell me more about these things you've heard that Trump did, and then found out wasn't true." isn't even closely related to " comment on the billions trump has stolen from the taxpayers. or the crypto stuff. selling pardons. doj and fbi actively covering up child sex trafficking rings. the election fraud stuff."

Ironically, your complete twisting of what was said is a perfect example of the dishonesty I was talking about... Ignoring you now for the dishonesty, and rechecking my settings to see why I still got a notification after I turned notifications off.

It really is funny how a group of people will lie so often and so badly, and then whine about "why do people not like us or vote for us?" Truly odd behavior.
