Trump's Second Term

CNN reporting Trump might attack Iran this weekend.
CNN Is guilty, as most news sites are of "Click Baiting" ie putting up headlines that will get people to click on the stories, but although I wonlt commit to this date, I have strongly felt that Trump will get the US into a war.
His kind always does.

Our last Tory government decided it was vital to crack down on election fraud in the UK because of the tsunami of convictions and allegations in regard to voter impersonation, in some years allegations of voter impersonation had reached 50 and in some years over zero but less than two people were convicted! They decided the only way to deal with such figures which were undermining our democracy was for everyone to have to provide certain photo ID. Of course they made it fair and balanced, so if you were a young person in education - and obviously there was a lot of voter fraud involving young people because they kept not voting for Tory candidates - you couldn't use your student ID card, the card that every single student in education needed, that is tied into every aspect of student life, but if you were an older retired person all you needed was the card that gave you reduced bus fares.... Totally fair.

All these voter id issues sound so weird to us Spaniards. We all have a "national identity card", it´s compulsory, everyone has it and it´s necessary for many things. Here, voter ID is a non issue. There are other ways to do electoral fraud (some allegations about voting by mail recently for example) but it sounds so weird to us that in other countries you can just go and vote without this kind of id system...

As far as I know, you just can't walk in off the street and vote. You need something to prove who you are in order to register to vote, and you can't register to vote, and then vote on that same day.

Here in Washington State (which I understand is a mail-in voting only state), you can also register to vote when you get your DL or regular ID. That's how I reregister to vote every time I renew my DL, and the ballot is sent to the address on my ID. They also give you a voter registration ID that is also sent to your address. POBs can't be used as home addresses.

Plus, the Mail-in-ballot is tracked from beginning to end, and I get a text informing me along every step, and you have to sign the envelope too.

The ninja idiots in AZ said there were 50,000 double-counted, mail-in ballots, but that was utter BS.

What was counted by them were the scans of the envelopes the ballots came in and not the ballots themselves. Anyone who has used a scanner knows that sometimes the scans don't come out right and you have to scan them again. The state couldn't just throw away (or delete) the bad ones. That would've been suspicious, and thus, the false impression that 50K ballots were erroneously double counted.

The big problem with the Trump admin is the constant change in policy. Perhaps this is in part that 'professionals' will say that one policy is necessary, will brief Trump on it who signs it off, then Trump has a senior moment and reverses the decision without talking to anyone. The policy on UK ownership of Diego Garcia is an example. The US signs off on the policy then Trump denounces it after discussions the state department says it is a necessary move and the US supports it Trump approves it, then days later denounces it.

If I was Iran, my concern with making a deal with the US over anything is there is no guarantee the US will follow through or not denounce their own agreement the next week. Tarriffs go up, they go down. Extra judicial execution is now routine.

The case never went to trial in Texas because the grand jury thought that pointing a loaded firearm at someone whilst drunk and fatally shooting your daughter in your own home isn't against the law in Texas.

The oyster card was the most blatant. Over 60 oyster card - valid. Over 18 Oyster card - invalid

NHS ID cards weren't accepted either, after all you could hardly make it easier for the people who could see day in day out what they were doing to the Health Service to vote...

It still pisses me off that Rees-Mogg literally admitted on the record that it was an attempt to gerrymander the election but no action has ever been taken against those responsible.
