According to video footage, it looks like the victim’s gun may have already been seized before the first shot was fired.

You can see a Border Patrol agent in a gray jacket and baseball cap remove the firearm and walk away from the scene.

If that holds up, this just shifted the entire conversation.

Apparently, how would anyone be sure that this guy had only one gun, or even didn’t have a bomb vest? once someone is armed, nothing is sure until he stops fighting, shooting him looked like the only choice here.
